Alex Khvatov:  Tell us about this experience at the Senior Bowl.

Marcus Davenport:  It’s been a huge honor.  I never really expected to come here.  I never thought that I would be in this company of great players.  It’s really awesome.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you want to prove to NFL teams this week?

Marcus Davenport:  I want to prove myself.  I know that I am a good player.  I just have to show it.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths on the field?

Marcus Davenport:  My pride.  I take pride in this game.  I try to hustle and put my effort in.

Alex Khvatov:  How did you wind up at UTSA?

Marcus Davenport:  I wasn’t heavily recruited.  They wanted to give me an opportunity.  I came on a visit.  I met my teammates and I wanted to be a part of their family.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Marcus Davenport:  Disengaging and leverage.  Technical things.

Alex Khvatov:  How do you deal with all of this first round talk surrounding you?

Marcus Davenport:  I barely listen to it.  Nothing is proven yet.  I just have to keep my focus.

Alex Khvatov:  What is it like to be coached by the Houston Texans?

Marcus Davenport:  It’s great to be coached by NFL level.  But I have always had great coaches.

Alex Khvatov:  Tell us about your career.

Marcus Davenport:  As a team, we have done great.  But we have a long way to go.  We didn’t finish like we wanted to.  We are a family.
