George Parker: 6’1, 196, 4.48 – 40.
Alex Khvatov: Where will you be training for the NFL Draft?
George Parker: Training at school and facilities in RVA.
Alex Khvatov: Describe your overall experience at the FCS Bowl all-star game in Daytona Beach, FL.
George Parker: It was a great opportunity to get that exposure and showcase my talents against some good competition.
Alex Khvatov: What is the biggest thing that you will take away from that
weekend?
George Parker: That I can matchup with the best of them. I just have to maintain focus and keep working my craft.
Alex Khvatov: Who was the best player that you have faced at the FCS
Bowl?
George Parker: There was a lot of talent, no one person stood out in my eyes.
Alex Khvatov: Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in
you?
George Parker: Norfolk State, William & Mary, UMES (track), Chowan, Towson and smaller schools.
Alex Khvatov: Why did you choose Chowan University?
George Parker: The defensive backs coach at the time was from Hampton University, won championships and sent someone to the league, so I trusted his interest and chose Chowan.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
George Parker: My speed, length, instincts and film study.
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
George Parker: Speed and technique.
Alex Khvatov: Describe your overall career.
George Parker: My freshman year, I did not redshirt. They moved me to wide receiver and I played special teams. I moved back to corner my sophomore year and started a few games. My junior year, I started every game at corner and played special teams. I ended up with one interception, two forced fumbles, 30 tackles and a couple pass breakups. My senior year, I finished with five interceptions, 36 tackles, eight pass breakups and made first team All-CIAA.
Alex Khvatov: What is the highlight of your career up to this point?
George Parker: Finishing top 2 in the league at defensive back.
Alex Khvatov: What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?
George Parker: Making the Dean’s list this year, but graduation will be my biggest accomplishment.
Alex Khvatov: What have you learned the most from your coaching staff?
George Parker: All coaches can give is an opportunity, it is up to the players to take advantage of it.
Alex Khvatov: What is your favorite NFL team?
George Parker: Redskins.
Alex Khvatov: Who is your favorite NFL player?
George Parker: Deion Sanders.
Alex Khvatov: What is the most important trait for a DB?
George Parker: Great eyes.
Alex Khvatov: Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the offense?
George Parker: Down and distance, the wide receiver’s splits, the formation and the personnel.
Alex Khvatov: What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next
season?
George Parker: Donald Boone, Bryce Witt, Rafiq Abdul-Wahid, Tyrell Freeman, Dre Terry and Jamal Hampton.
Alex Khvatov: Who is the best player that you have faced on an opposing team?
George Parker: Trenton Cannon.
Alex Khvatov: What do you enjoy most about football?
George Parker: The feeling I get on Gameday, nothing else compares.
Alex Khvatov: Who is your biggest role model and why?
George Parker: My father. He is a stand-up guy and taught me a lot.
Alex Khvatov: What is your definition of a leader?
George Parker: For me, a leader is someone who can bring the best out of people around them, while maintaining great energy and focus on a goal especially in the face of adversity.
Alex Khvatov: What are your hobbies?
George Parker: Video games, reading and working out.

career is over?
George Parker: Coaching and training the youth.
