Campbell University

Alex Khvatov:  What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?

Kam Prewitt:  My measurements are 5’11, 190lbs and my 40 time is a 4.44.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall experience at the FCS Bowl in Daytona Beach, FL.

Kam Prewitt:  It was a really fun experience, but my main goal was to make sure that I got noticed and to display my talents the best I could.

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Kam Prewitt:  I had offers from Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee, Troy, South Alabama, Georgia Southern and Memphis.  Georgia, but they pulled out.

Alex Khvatov:  How did you wind up at Memphis?

Kam Prewitt:  They were the first FBS to offer and they were going to stick with me even though I had subpar grades.  I committed before my senior season.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you transfer to a junior college?

Kam Prewitt:  I transferred to JC because I was dismissed from Memphis via team rules.

Alex Khvatov:  How did you eventually wind up at Campbell University?

Kam Prewitt:  I ended up at Campbell after the University of Kansas pulled their offer at the last-minute right before Christmas of 2017.  I fell in love with their head coach and 10-year vet Mike Minter.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Kam Prewitt:  My strengths are my overall understanding of the game, my quickness, my hunger and my want to.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Kam Prewitt:  I am trying to improve on putting myself ina  better position to do more than just make the play.

Alex Khvatov:  Tell us about your overall career at Campbell.

Kam Prewitt:  I can say that people would describe my overall career at Campbell as a lockdown corner who was overly aggressive.  Have to tone it down at times, but never let anything get the best of him.  Also a great return man.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Kam Prewitt:  The highlight of my career is when I intercepted a pass after getting three penalties.  It just kind of describes my life.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?

Kam Prewitt:  My biggest accomplishment was being able to put my teammate in a position to make the play.  For example, talking with my safety for sure got him all-conference.  His accomplishment became mine because of the work we put together.

Alex Khvatov:  What was the biggest thing that you took away from your coaching staff?

Kam Prewitt:  To always take care of the little things.  The little things are what make the big things work.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your favorite NFL team?

Kam Prewitt:  All 32 because I want a chance.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your favorite NFL player?

Kam Prewitt:  Arthur Maulet.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the most important trait for a CB?

Kam Prewitt:  The most important trait to have is confidence.  If you don’t have confidence then you already lost.  Especially as a man to man corner.

Alex Khvatov:  Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the offense?

Kam Prewitt:  I am looking at what personnel that they are in and what routes that I am going to get out of each package.  I am also looking for the stances of the tackles and guards.

Alex Khvatov:  What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?

Kam Prewitt:  Darion Slade and Damien Dozier.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the toughest player that you have faced on an opposing team?

Kam Prewitt:  Roc Thomas who plays for the Vikings.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you enjoy most about football?

Kam Prewitt:  I love the passion and loyalty that comes with the game.  I also love that you are forced to become a family or it won’t work.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your definition of a leader?

Kam Prewitt:  A person that can show the way and do the way.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your hobbies?

Kam Prewitt:  My favorite hobby is playing Madden.
