Alex Khvatov: What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?
Cris Page: 5’11, 181 and N/A on the 40 time.
Alex Khvatov: Describe your overall experience at the FCS Bowl in Daytona Beach, FL.
Cris Page: My experience at the FCS bowl was a good one. I competed against some good receivers. Met a lot of different players from across the world. That was a cool part and seeing the beach right outside the hotel was cool too.
Alex Khvatov: Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?
Cris Page: Coming out of high school, I had Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, UWG, Chattanooga and some small schools.
Alex Khvatov: Why did you choose Catawba College?
Cris Page: I didn’t have the test scores right away, so teams left. Coach Ahmad Smith stayed in contact with me and that’s one of the reasons I came to Catawba College.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
Cris Page: I’m a sure tackler, my work ethic, my recovery speed and my quickness.
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Cris Page: Learning better technique and knowing what everybody is doing around me.
Alex Khvatov: Tell us about your overall career.
Cris Page: I received honorable mention All-American and I was a 4xSAC All- Conference player. I have 12 career picks.
Alex Khvatov: What is the highlight of your career up to this point?
Cris Page: My sophomore year, we played against Pembroke and I caught two picks and one to the house. And my senior year against #7 Wingate, I had 11 tackles and 4 PBU’s.
Alex Khvatov: What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?
Cris Page: Coming in as a true freshman and keeping my spot all four years and receiving all those accolades. Just seeing myself grow as a player.
Alex Khvatov: What is your favorite NFL team?
Cris Page: My favorite NFL team is the Seahawks.
Alex Khvatov: What is the most important trait for a CB?
Cris Page: To have good eyes when playing this game and don’t let your feet die.
Alex Khvatov: Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the offense?
Cris Page: First, I’ll call out how many receivers I have, then see where the receivers are lined up at and their splits.
Alex Khvatov: What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?
Cris Page: We have lots of talent. Ferguson, Will Sweeper, Tank and Velle.
Alex Khvatov: Who is the toughest player that you have faced on an opposing team?
Cris Page: I’ll say my sophomore year going against #1 on Mars Hill. I think is name was Keyshawn.
Alex Khvatov: What do you enjoy most about football?
Cris Page: I just love that you can be yourself out there on the field and showcase what you have been training for.
Alex Khvatov: What is your definition of a leader?
Cris Page: You have different type of leaders like the ones who can show you or the ones who like talking. A leader is somebody that is doing their job right and is motivating the team or bringing the team with them. Not a selfish player, but a team player.
Alex Khvatov: What are your hobbies?
Cris Page: I play madden from time to time and play pick-up ball because I used to hoop too! But I really just be chilling.
Alex Khvatov: What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?
Cris Page: I want to be a trainer or mentor for kids!
Alex Khvatov: What five words best describe you?
Cris Page: I’m a hard-working, humble, ambitious, trustworthy and intelligent.
