Alex Khvatov: What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?
Deangelo Antoine: I am 5’9, 188 and my last forty time was a 4.5.
Alex Khvatov: Describe your overall experience at the CGS all-star game.
Deangelo Antoine: It was a great experience. I met a lot of scouts. I had the chance to show my ability. I would recommend it to anyone. I faced good competition.
Alex Khvatov: Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?
Deangelo Antoine: The first offer was Louisville. They wanted me to play defense. Then I played in a 7 on 7 tournament. I caught Willie Taggart’s eye.
Alex Khvatov: Why did you choose USF?
Deangelo Antoine: I am from the Orlando area. I wanted to be closer to my grandmother. It was just the two of us. I didn’t want to go too far and leave the state. In high school, I wore green and gold colors. USF also has those colors, and it stuck out to me. I fell in love with the coaching staff and Willie Taggart. They wanted me to play receiver.
Alex Khvatov: Why did you transfer to FAU for your final season?
Deangelo Antoine: It was an opportunity for me. USF didn’t give me the best opportunity. Lane Kiffin told me that he would love to have me. I came in and watched their offense go and I wanted to be a part of it.
Alex Khvatov: What was it like to play for Lane Kiffin?
Deangelo Antoine: Lane Kiffin airs the ball out. He loves big plays. He loves throwing the ball. It was a big-time offense.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
Deangelo Antoine: Speed kills. I take the top of the defense.
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Deangelo Antoine: Route running.
Alex Khvatov: Where are your currently training?
Deangelo Antoine: At XPE in Boca Raton with Tony Villani. It is going good. I am soaking everything in. Paying attention to the little things and enjoying the process.
Alex Khvatov: Tell us about your overall career at USF.
Deangelo Antoine: I enjoyed my time at USF. I played with great guys there. Winning was exciting. But the older I got, I realized that it was my time to step up. I didn’t get the opportunity.
Alex Khvatov: How would you describe your final season at FAU?
Deangelo Antoine: I wish that I had a little more time at FAU. They gave me the love. Lane Kiffin took me in, and I ran with it.
Alex Khvatov: What is the highlight of your career up to this point?
Deangelo Antoine: Not many guys can run the way I can.
Alex Khvatov: What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?
Deangelo Antoine: I helped FAU to win the conference championship this year.
Alex Khvatov: What is the most important trait for a WR?
Deangelo Antoine: Catch the ball in tough situations.
Alex Khvatov: What is your favorite NFL team?
Deangelo Antoine: I liked the Atlanta Falcons. I watched Vick.
Alex Khvatov: Who is your favorite NFL player?
Deangelo Antoine: Tyrann Mathieu.
Alex Khvatov: What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?
Deangelo Antoine: #4 RB B.J. Emmons, QB Chris Robison and #54 LB Hosea Barnwell.
Alex Khvatov: Who is the best player that you have faced on an opposing team?
Deangelo Antoine: Chase Young. Just to see him with my own eyes. He shredded our OL.
Alex Khvatov: What do you enjoy most about football?
Deangelo Antoine: I love coming out and scoring on the first drive. Setting the tempo. If you score first, the pressure is on the other team.
Alex Khvatov: What are your hobbies?
Deangelo Antoine: I love paintball. I like to watch Netflix and action movies.
Alex Khvatov: What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?
Deangelo Antoine: I majored in mass media production. I am currently getting my master’s in sports management. I want to do something around sports and maybe real estate.
