2020 Tropical Bowl
Saturday Practice – Day Two
American Team (White)
DE Darrius Moragne (Kansas) – was the star of the Saturday morning practice. He was disruptive and unstoppable in the one on one’s. He lined up outside and inside. He has size, athleticism and long arms. He was quick off the ball and displayed a good bend coming around the edge. He helped himself during this weekend.
DT Kevin Thurmon (Arkansas State) – his hand usage was outstanding. He was able to disengage from blockers very quickly. He showed heavy hands that jolted the OL back when he made the initial contact. He showed a variety of pass rush moves. His spin move was deadly.
RB Walter Fletcher (Ball State) – showed a nice burst through the hole. I was more impressed by his route running ability and his hands.
OL Griffin Clancy (Albany) – was the most consistent OL on Saturday. He has good size, extremely long arms and shows good strength. He displayed a good anchor and sustained his blocks well in pass pro.
DE Tevaughn Grant (Wagner) – played well at the FCS Bowl last month. He is a guy that gets after the QB. He used his speed and quickness off the edge. I also saw him mix it up and use an effective bull rush.
