Tuesday Practice – Day Two
West Team
DT John Penisini (Utah)
He was a dominant force during Tuesday’s practice. He is known for being a stout run defender at Utah, but he got consistent penetration during practice. In the one on one’s, he displayed good pass rush repertoire moves including a nice swim move and a textbook club move. He also used his strength to get a push up the middle.
DT Khalil Davis (Nebraska)
Once again, he was a handful for OL on Tuesday. He displayed very good quickness off the snap in the one on one’s. He showed quick hands and he knows how to use them.
DT Raequan Williams (Michigan State)
He displayed a quick first step in the 9 on 7 session, got into the backfield and tackled the RB for a loss. He displayed very good strength, power, heavy hands and a nice spin move in the one on one’s. He tipped the ball at the line of scrimmage in the team session, and they even triple teamed him on one occasion. His motor was nonstop and he had a ripped jersey at the end of practice.
WR Binjimen Victor (Ohio State)
The WR’s coach was giving him some pointers about route running early in practice. He put that advice to good use. He looked so silky smooth and created separation at the top of his route. Victor is a crafty route runner. On one occasion, he ran a double move to perfection. He is so quick in tight quarters. He has helped himself here in St. Petersburg.
WR Nick Westbrook (Indiana)
Westbrook caught a couple of deep balls. He showed reliable hands, tracked the ball well over his shoulder, displayed great hand/eye coordination and finished well at the catch point. He also ran good routes throughout the afternoon.
RB James Robinson (Illinois State)
He is a physical back with a thick lower body. He was hitting the hole with authority. He displayed a terrific burst through the hole. He also caught the ball well out of the backfield.
