Isiah Swann
Cornerback / Dartmouth
Alex Khvatov: What was your major in college?
Isiah Swann: Environmental studies. I have graduated already.
Alex Khvatov: What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?
Isiah Swann: Football is my thing now. I haven’t thought about it. Maybe energy consulting.
Alex Khvatov: Your ball skills are superb. How have you been able to develop that knack for the ball?
Isiah Swann: Preparing and anticipating routes. You look at where the QB is looking and where your help is. You take all of those factors in. I am usually in the right spot.
Alex Khvatov: How did you wind up at Dartmouth?
Isiah Swann: I had most of the Ivy League schools interested in me. I had all of the academies. I went to Harvard, Air Force and Dartmouth. Dartmouth was actually one of the first schools that recruited me. Coach T was in contact with me. He seemed like a really genuine guy. He cared about his players. I took a visit up there. I fell in love with the people. They weren’t snooty. They were down to earth and genuine. I felt comfortable there. I felt at home.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
Isiah Swann: I bring ball skills. I am always going to be super prepared for the offense and the receivers in general. I have good anticipation and recognition.
Alex Khvatov: Who was the toughest WR to go up against in practice today?
Isiah Swann: The guy from Louisiana (Ja’Marcus Bradley).
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Isiah Swann: Overall quickness. I feel like every DB can work on it. I am getting down the technicalities of the scheme here at the Shrine Game. It is a new scheme than what I was used to in college. Shooting hands and pressing at the line.
Alex Khvatov: How would you sum up your career?
Isiah Swann: I came to this school for the Championship. It is what we accomplished during my senior year.
Alex Khvatov: What one word best describes you?
Isiah Swann: Intelligent.
