Alex Khvatov:  What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?

Tyrell Goodwin:  I am 6’0, my weight is 280 and I run a 4.9.  

Alex Khvatov:  Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft? 

Tyrell Goodwin:  I am training with a martial arts guy in Fort Jackson, South Carolina.  My agent set me up there.  I started in December.    

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Tyrell Goodwin:  My first offer was Charleston Southern and then South Carolina State. 

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you choose South Carolina State?

Tyrell Goodwin:  I liked their program.  It was the best fit for me. 

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Tyrell Goodwin:  My motor carries me a lot.  I play hard, my hands and my get off.    

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Tyrell Goodwin:  Improve on my hips more and being more flexible.    

Alex Khvatov:  Tell us about your overall career.

Tyrell Goodwin:  I redshirted.  I worked on everything.  My senior year was a breakout year.  I got noted.  We got the ring my senior year.

Alex Khvatov:  What is it like to follow in the footsteps of Javon Hargrave and Darius Leonard?

Tyrell Goodwin:  I had big shoes to fill.  I had to come to work and do my best.  There is no pressure.  I will be the best that I can be.   

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Tyrell Goodwin:  My favorite game was against Morgan State.  I had three sacks and seven tackles.   

Alex Khvatov:  What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of? 

Tyrell Goodwin:  I made first team All-American.      

Alex Khvatov:  What was the biggest thing that you took away from your coaching staff? 

Tyrell Goodwin:  They were always preaching me to have that dog in me.  Never being satisfied.      

Alex Khvatov:  What is your favorite NFL team?

Tyrell Goodwin:  Indianapolis Colts because of Peyton Manning. 

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your favorite NFL player?

Tyrell Goodwin:  Aaron Donald.    

Alex Khvatov:  Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the offense? 

Tyrell Goodwin:  Pre-snap reads.  The little things like whether the O-line is leaning back too much or heavy on their hands.    

Alex Khvatov:  What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?

Tyrell Goodwin:  WR Shaq Davis. 

Alex Khvatov:  What do you enjoy most about football?

Tyrell Goodwin:  I love getting sacks and tackles for loss.  It is a feeling that I can’t describe.    

Alex Khvatov:  What are your hobbies?

Tyrell Goodwin:  Spending time with my family, trying to perfect my craft and help out others. 

Alex Khvatov:  What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?

Tyrell Goodwin:  I love helping kids.  I want to get into coaching.    

Alex Khvatov:  What five words best describe you?

Tyrell Goodwin:  Persistent, honest, loyal, loving and caring.
