2020 Shrine Bowl – West Team – Wednesday Practice

2020 East/West Shrine Bowl

Wednesday Practice – Day Three

West Team

The WR Group

Ohio State WR Binjimen Victor had the best day out of this group.  He is sudden in and out of his breaks for a bigger WR.  He offers speed, good catch radius and terrific leaping ability.  He has caught the ball consistently away from his frame.

Missouri WR Johnathon Johnson ran precise routes.  He created consistent separation with his quickness in and out of his breaks.  He displayed outstanding body control.  Indiana WR Nick Westbrook is a physical WR.  He ran good routes and tracked the ball well on downfield throws.  WR John Hightower, Boise State speedster, made some highlight reel catches in the end zone.  He displayed good body control and ran better routes today.

QB Kelly Bryant (Missouri)

He had a solid practice.  He showed an above average arm and made some accurate throws downfield.  He worked through his progressions especially in the red zone.

DE/OLB Bryce Huff (Memphis)

Huff displayed very good bend off the edge.  His speed, athleticism and quickness stood out during Wednesday’s practice.  He timed the snap well and got consistent pressure in the backfield.  He also showed an excellent spin move.
