Alex Khvatov: How would you describe your overall experience at the 2020 East/West Shrine Bowl?
Dante Olson: It is an awesome experience. Being out here with guys from different places. Come out and play the game that we love to play. It is good to get the pads back on.
Alex Khvatov: How did you wind up at Montana?
Dante Olson: I am from Medford, Oregon. It is a small town. I went to a small school. There were only 250 kids at the school. I ended up going to a Montana camp my junior year. They offered me. I got to go on a visit up there. There is a river that runs right through campus. The stadium backs up into a big mountain. It is super loud and awesome.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
Dante Olson: The biggest thing is I have been around football my whole life. My dad has been a college football coach for as long as I can remember. It really helps me. I have been around football my whole life. I have always been watching film. My previous coaching staff taught me relentless effort. You have to play and fast every single play.
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game do you need to improve upon this week?
Dante Olson: Probably pass drops. It is my biggest aspect that I need to improve. You can always improve every aspect of your game.
Alex Khvatov: Where are you currently training for the 2020 NFL Draft?
Dante Olson: I am training at Cal Strength. A couple of guys from Montana have trained there and they really liked it. I will be going back and forth training with my strength coach in Montana. He is a really cool dude.
Alex Khvatov: What is the highlight of your career up to this point?
Dante Olson: That’s tough. Playing in the second-round playoff game this last season at Washington-Grizzly stadium. It was a lot of fun.
Alex Khvatov: What did you learn the most from your coaching staff at Montana?
Dante Olson: The coaching staff is awesome. They have a great group of guys up there. From the top down, they are all very experienced. They work extremely hard. We have become better players, but also better men off the field.
Alex Khvatov: Where did your father coach?
Dante Olson: He used to coach at Southern Oregon University. It is an NAIA school. He played there and started his coaching career there. He ended up as the head coach at Southern Oregon the last 10 years.
Alex Khvatov: What one word best describes you?
Dante Olson: Hard-worker.
