LB Cam Brown (Penn State) Senior Bowl Interview

Cam Brown

Linebacker / Penn State

Alex Khvatov:  How would you describe your overall experience at the Senior Bowl?

Cam Brown:  Being here means the world to me.  You are playing against the best players in college football.  The process has been different.  It has been fun.  The guys talking and sharing stories.  Learning a new defense and meeting NFL coaches.  It’s been exciting.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Cam Brown:  I have a bunch of highlights.  During my freshman year, blocking the punt against Ohio State.  The roar of the crowd could never be matched.

Alex Khvatov:  What has head coach James Franklin brought to the program?  How has he been able to change the culture at Penn State?

Cam Brown:  Coach Franklin is a great man.  He is teaching us how to become men.  How to behave on and off the field.  It is helping me here at the Senior Bowl.  Being 10 minutes early to meetings.  He has turned the program around.  Putting great coaches around great players.  At the same time, putting good players in a good system.

Alex Khvatov:  What are the biggest attributes that you bring to the field?

Cam Brown:  My leadership, athleticism and physicality.  It is hard to find 6’5 guys that will run like me.  I can run with receivers.

Alex Khvatov:  Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?

Cam Brown:  At XPE in Fort Lauderdale.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Cam Brown:  I want to work on my footwork.  Sometimes, I play a little too fast.  Getting sound footwork is the key for the NFL.  Being sharp and clean.

Alex Khvatov:  What one word best describes you?

Cam Brown:  Versatile.
