Nick Harris
Center / Washington
Ed Hunt: How did it feel out there at the Senior Bowl practice?
Nick Harris: Good! Just a good day of practice. Definitely had a lot of good team reps. We competed and it was a good day.
Ed Hunt: Who did you go up against in the one on one’s?
Nick Harris: I’m not positive. I think Neville Gallimore. Davon Hamilton.
Ed Hunt: Do you see yourself as a guard or a center at the next level?
Nick Harris: I’m definitely capable. I can play both. I played two years at guard, two years at center, so definitely capable of playing both.
Ed Hunt: Can you tell me about Trey Adams, left tackle for you guys?
Nick Harris: What about him?
Ed Hunt: Just his personality, his injury situation, if you could give me some insight?
Nick Harris: I don’t really want to speak on his injury situation. All that I know is that he handled it like he should. I was his roommate for two and a half years; so, I’ve been through it all with him. He’s strong as hell, he’s tough as hell. I mean, he was mature about his injury, he came back better than ever. He’s one hell of a guy to be around. One hell of a player and I’m proud to call him one of my good friends.
Ed Hunt: Would you say this year was a little bit of a disappointment not from an individual standpoint, but from a team standpoint for the Washington Huskies?
Nick Harris: I mean obviously, especially from the past years that we have had so good, but you know it is what it is. Football is a game of winning and losing. I obviously hate losing, but for some point we didn’t win as much games as we did. I think that we did come out with a winning record. We won our last game, so we sent off Coach Pete right. That something I’m definitely proud of.
Ed Hunt: Has your agent talked to you about what round you are probably going to go in?
Nick Harris: I’m mean I’m not really worried about that. I am just trying to put myself in the best position to be drafted, so I don’t really hang my hat on that. I will be blessed to take any opportunity to show what I can do.
Ed Hunt: What are your biggest strengths?
Nick Harris: I think my intelligence. I’m a football geek. I love football. I watch hours of film. My athleticism for the position, I move pretty well as a center, and just my toughness and my competitive edge. You know, I don’t like losing. I will always come back and compete and will not shy away from any competition. I think those are my best attributes.
Ed Hunt: At the next level, are you a center and a guard?
Nick Harris: I’m wherever they want me to play whether its guard, whether its center. Wherever they want me to play, I’ll play, so it is what it is.
Ed Hunt: Where are you training for the NFL Draft?
Nick Harris: Orange County, California.
