Jonathan Greenard
DE/OLB / Florida
Ed Hunt: How did it feel out there during your first Senior Bowl practice?
Jonathan Greenard: It felt good to just get the juices back again flowing. Be back here with no pads playing the best of the best. Good start.
Ed Hunt: How did it feel to get pressure in shells. I mean you aren’t doing live tackling, but it seems like you were getting pressure.
Jonathan Greenard: Yeah, it feels good. Anytime you can get to the quarterback and help makes some plays on the opposing side of the ball. It’s going to be good, so I do what I do. I’m going to continue to work at it and its day one, so I can’t get too complacent with it. Build on it.
Ed Hunt: I notice you kind of have sneaky power for your size. What do you attribute that to?
Jonathan Greenard: (laughing) I like that.
Ed Hunt: Are you a big weightlifter or a good technique guy?
Jonathan Greenard: In my mind, I’m the smallest guy even though my numbers say a little bit otherwise. I’ve been doing that all my life and it’s been helping me to this point.
Ed Hunt: Is there a player that you model your game after?
Jonathan Greenard: I like Khalil Mack. I like the guys that are a little bit smaller, but show a lot of power and explosiveness.
Ed Hunt: Do you see yourself as more of a 3-4 or a 4-3 guy?
Jonathan Greenard: Either one. I can stand up or I can come out in a three point. You line me up and we’re going to make some plays.
Ed Hunt: Did you drop into coverage in practice at Florida?
Jonathan Greenard: Yeah, I definitely did. I got a couple picks too. In practice! I think I got two of them in practice, maybe three.
Ed Hunt: Do you know your 40 time?
Jonathan Greenard: I don’t right now, but you will find out at the combine.
Ed Hunt: Where are you training?
Jonathan Greenard: At Excel in Pensacola.
Ed Hunt: What does your agent say, as far as what round you are going to go in?
Jonathan Greenard: We’ve heard it all. But we’re shooting for the first round.
