RB Eno Benjamin (Arizona State) Senior Bowl Interview - NFL Draft Blitz

RB Eno Benjamin (Arizona State) Senior Bowl Interview

Eno Benjamin

Running Back / Arizona State

Alex Khvatov:  How would you describe your overall experience at the Senior Bowl?

Eno Benjamin:  It is a great opportunity to come out here and compete against players from different conferences.  Represent the PAC-12 and the school.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you decide to enter the NFL Draft after your junior year?

Eno Benjamin:  I got the degree in my back pocket.  I understand that you have only so many years to play as a football player especially at my position.  I think that I was ready after speaking with Herm.  He wanted me to take that next step.

Alex Khvatov:  What was it like to play for Herm Edwards?  What have you learned from him?

Eno Benjamin:  He is a true player’s coach.  He taught us how to be professional in everything that we did.  He treated us like professionals and expected to act like men.  Be on time and be where you are supposed to be.  Beyond that, you have the free reign and do what you want to do.  Players gravitated towards him a lot.  He just let the players be themselves.

Alex Khvatov:  What are the biggest attributes that you bring to the field?

Eno Benjamin:  My pass catching ability really stands out.  My knowledge of the game.  Being able to see blocks develop before the ball is even snapped.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Eno Benjamin:  Ball security.  In 2018, I had one fumble.  In 2019, I had six fumbles.  The one thing that I have to focus on and tighten up.  I can always improve on pass protection.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Eno Benjamin:  Taking down #5 Washington.  Taking down #6 Oregon.  I broke the single season rushing record and the single game rushing record at the school.

Alex Khvatov:  Who was the toughest defense to go up against in the PAC-12?

Eno Benjamin:  Definitely Utah.  Utah had a strong front seven.  They were physical guys and ballers.
