OG Jonah Jackson (Ohio State) Senior Bowl Interview

Jonah Jackson

Offensive Guard / Ohio State

Ed Hunt:  How did you do at the weigh-in today?

Jonah Jackson:  I think I did good.  It was the weight I’ve been playing at this season and it’s the weight the scouts want for the past year.

Ed Hunt:  What do you want to show the NFL teams the most in Mobile?

Jonah Jackson:  Just my ability to be an elite player.  Play with the best of the best.  That I’m worthy enough to be on their team and on the draft list.

Ed Hunt:  What is your best position fir in the NFL?

Jonah Jackson:  Wherever they need me.  Tackle, guard, center.  Wherever I’m needed, I’m making the best fit.

Ed Hunt:  What would you say is your biggest strength?

Jonah Jackson:  Probably just being a finisher and being nasty and tough.

Ed Hunt:  What would you say is the thing you are working on the most in Mobile?

Jonah Jackson:  Showing that I’m an elite pass protector.  Hold up in pass rush situation.

Ed Hunt:  What have your coaches taught you the most?

Jonah Jackson:  Pretty much everything in the game of college football.  Running off the ball in run game or being a great pass protector.  All of that goes into being an elite offensive lineman.

Ed Hunt:  Can you name an offensive lineman that you model your game after, that you like to watch film on?

Jonah Jackson:  I like Jason Kelce from the Philadelphia Eagles.  He is just a ferocious competitor.  He gets up to the second level.  He is nasty, great in space, and just somebody I’ve been able to watch being in the Philadelphia area growing up watching them at that point.

Ed Hunt:  What was your favorite NFL team growing up?

Jonah Jackson:  I would say the Philadelphia Eagles.  I also like the Patriots.  I like Tom Brady.

Ed Hunt:  What do you like about Tom Brady?

Jonah Jackson:  He’s just that guy.  He’s a fierce competitor and knows how to win.
