Keith Ismael
Center / San Diego State
Ed Hunt: How do you feel going into your first Senior Bowl practice?
Keith Ismael: Excited! I am excited to get out there and compete. Show my skillset and what I can do.
Ed Hunt: What are the scouts telling you?
Keith Ismael: They just want to see everything that they have seen already. I’m a good person. We talked about the strengths and the weaknesses of the game. I just plan to shut up any doubt and show I’m their guy.
Ed Hunt: What is your best fit in the NFL as far as position?
Keith Ismael: Center, but I’m also really comfortable playing guard.
Ed Hunt: Who is one lineman that you model your game after?
Keith Ismael: I really like to watch Jason Kelce for the Eagles. He’s super athletic and has a high motor. Good technique. Good fits on the run and pass. I like to watch his film and try to emulate that same athleticism.
Ed Hunt: Who is the toughest lineman you faced in the Mountain West?
Keith Ismael: Utah State had a couple good guys. They were big and athletic and showed a lot of exotic fronts. I don’t know if there was one specific guy though. Utah State was kind of difficult to play.
Ed Hunt: Are you excited to face elite level athletes?
Keith Ismael: Definitely excited to show that I can compete with the best and that’s why we’re all here. Especially coming from a non-power five school, I amd really excited to show that I can stand up to the “big dogs.”
Ed Hunt: What is your biggest strength?
Keith Ismael: Consistency and assignments. Just running pass and then holding off the run blocking.
Ed Hunt: Where are you training for the NFL Draft?
Keith Ismael: Michael Johnson Performance in Dallas.
