Maxwell Howell: March 13th.
Alex Khvatov: Describe your overall experience at the Tropical Bowl in Daytona Beach, FL.
Maxwell Howell: It was a great opportunity especially what Mike Quartey does for us. To make sure we are put in great positions to showcase our talent.
Alex Khvatov: What was the biggest thing that you took away from that all-star weekend?
Maxwell Howell: Cherish every moment you have on a football field because you never know when it can be your last.
Alex Khvatov: Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?
Maxwell Howell: I had power 5 offers from schools like Ohio State, Maryland, Temple and etc.
Alex Khvatov: How did you wind up at Ohio?
Maxwell Howell: Ohio was the first school to offer me right after my sophomore year and they remained consistent throughout the process.
Alex Khvatov: Why did you transfer to Portland State?
Maxwell Howell: The big sky is a well-respected conference in the FCS. Portland State is known for over the years to schedule major FBS opponents.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
Maxwell Howell: One area of my game that I consider to be my biggest strength is my ability to play man to man. Being as big as I am, it is rare to find big corners with the ability to flip their hips fluidly and to break smoothly.
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Maxwell Howell: One area of my game to improve is being more technically sound because that separates good from great players at the next level.
Alex Khvatov: Tell us about your overall career.
Maxwell Howell: My overall career at Portland State has been very under the radar, seldomly tried. I have gone through a lot of games where they didn’t throw my way.
Alex Khvatov: What is the highlight of your career up to this point?
Maxwell Howell: The pick I grabbed against Nevada before the second half. It put us in a position to tie the game.
Alex Khvatov: What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?
Maxwell Howell: Only giving up one TD pass in the three years when I was at Portland State.
Alex Khvatov: What is the most important trait for a CB?
Maxwell Howell: Short term memory and the mentality that you are going to lockdown one side of the field.
Alex Khvatov: What is your favorite NFL team?
Maxwell Howell: I don’t have one. I just watch football now to see where I can improve my game from other players.

Maxwell Howell: Michael Vick
Alex Khvatov: Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the offense?
Maxwell Howell: I look at receiver splits whether they are lined up wide or tight. The formation they are in to get a feel for what I think is coming.
Alex Khvatov: What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?
Maxwell Howell: Ryan Lesch and Emmanuel Daigbe.
Alex Khvatov: Who is the best player that you have faced on an opposing team?
Maxwell Howell: I have competed against various quality players, but my personal belief is that I constantly challenge myself to improve daily.
Alex Khvatov: What do you enjoy most about football?
Maxwell Howell: The excitement and thrill I get stepping onto a field to compete against other opponents’ top players.

Maxwell Howell: I love being around family!

Maxwell Howell: Cyber security.
