Trevon Hill
Defensive End / Miami, FL
Ed Hunt: Tell me about this Senior Bowl experience.
Trevon Hill: It is a good experience. It is an honor to be here. I am out here with the top guys in the nation. I am the only one from my school out here. It is a blessing.
Ed Hunt: How are you feeling going into your first practice here in Mobile?
Trevon Hill: Feeling good. Feeling ready to get out here and compete.
Ed Hunt: How did you wind up at Miami?
Trevon Hill: I had a situation at Virginia Tech that I really don’t want to get into. I ended up transferring to Miami. I played my role very well. I took advantage of every snap that I had. Now I am here.
Ed Hunt: What was it like playing for your former defensive coordinator Bud Foster at Virginia Tech?
Trevon Hill: He instilled that lunch-pail mentality in his players. I carry that mentality with me every day. I carried that mentality from Blacksburg to Miami. I still talk to coach Foster to this day. He taught me so many things about football and life situations. No other coach could have done that.
Ed Hunt: What is the biggest thing you’ve learned from your coaches at Miami?
Trevon Hill: I just took advantage of every snap that I had. Being at Miami really humbled me after coming from Virginia Tech. Being a starter there and coming to Miami and being a role player. But just taking advantage of every snap I get here.
Ed Hunt: What is your best position fit?
Trevon Hill: Defensive end. I think I’m a tenacious pass rusher with a high motor and I get around the edge, crazy bend. There’s not a lot of tackles here that can block me.
Ed Hunt: What are your biggest strengths?
Trevon Hill: Speed, agility and athleticism. I am a guy that uses his hands pretty well. I will never quit on any play.
Ed Hunt: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Trevon Hill: My vision. Sometimes, I use body to body rush. Once I improve that, I can be a dominant pass rusher.
Ed Hunt: Are you working on any new moves between now and the draft?
Trevon Hill: Yeah, but I ain’t going to give my sauce away.
Ed Hunt: What do you want to show the NFL teams the most?
Trevon Hill: That I’m competitive and I can really play with the best of the best.
Ed Hunt: What was the highlight of your career?
Trevon Hill: When we played Tennessee in a bowl game. It was an amazing experience. We played in front of a large crowd. We didn’t win this game, but it was exciting.
Ed Hunt: Who was the toughest OL to go up against in college?
Trevon Hill: I have to give a shoutout to Christian Darrisaw from Virginia Tech. He worked his tail off. I saw an article yesterday that he is the top CC lineman coming back.
Ed Hunt: What one word best describes you?
Trevon Hill: Worker.
