Kindle Vildor
Cornerback / Georgia Southern
Ed Hunt: How do you feel going into your first Senior Bowl practice?
Kindle Vildor: Really good man. Just ready. Knock the rust off a little bit. Get the feet wet. I’m going to showcase my abilities against everyone.
Ed Hunt: Is this the first time you’ve played against big conferences? What’s the biggest conference school you’ve played?
Kindle Vildor: Each year, we played an SEC school. We played Ole Miss my freshman year. We played Auburn. My Junior year, we played Clemson. This past year, we actually played LSU.
Ed Hunt: What are your strengths?
Kindle Vildor: My press bend, really good technique and keeping my feet stance square. Not allowing receivers to release out the gate like a lot of cornerbacks do.
Ed Hunt: What are your weaknesses?
Kindle Vildor: Just being an every down tackler. Sticking my nose in there every chance that I get to.
Ed Hunt: Who is the toughest receiver you have faced?
Kindle Vildor: I’d probably say the guy from Liberty that is here right now. Antonio Gandy-Golden. He was a good, big-body receiver that had really good speed and quickness for his size as well.
Ed Hunt: How did you feel about your weigh in today?
Kindle Vildor: Pretty good. I weighed in at 185. I’m trying to gain at least 4-5 more pounds. I just started working out at Michael Johnson performance. I know two weeks in, I’ve gained more since I’ve been there so for sure when I get there, I will be where I want to be so.
Ed Hunt: Do you know your 40 time?
Kindle Vildor: Right now, I don’t.
Ed Hunt: Do you have a Combine invite?
Kindle Vildor: Yes, sir.
Ed Hunt: Where are you training?
Kindle Vildor: Michael Johnson Performance in McKinney, Texas right now.
Ed Hunt: Is there a cornerback you model your game after?
Kindle Vildor: Yeah, Brent Grimes. I still watch him to this day, his old film. He is a really fluid and explosive cornerback, so I feel like we relate in a lot of ways.
Ed Hunt: What schools were looking at you out of high school?
Kindle Vildor: I had a lot of mid-major schools like Georgia Southern. I had Tulane, Virginia and Wake Forrest. They were powerhouses that showed interest late, but never got a chance to offer me.
Ed Hunt: What did you like about Georgia Southern?
Kindle Vildor: Just it being a football town. Everyone around there loves football. It’s a football environment and the opportunity that I had to come contribute to the team as well. I was also close to home.
Ed Hunt: Are you from Georgia?
Kindle Vildor: Yes, sir.
Ed Hunt: What’s your favorite football team?
Kindle Vildor: I grew up a Falcons fan. I’m from Atlanta.
Ed Hunt: Are you a Michael Vick fan?
Kindle Vildor: Oh, of course.
