Alex Khvatov: Tell us about this Senior Bowl experience.
Denzel Mims: it’s been great. I have been having a lot of fun. It feels great to come and compete against the top seniors in this class. It is good to go against guys from different conferences.
Alex Khvatov: What did you want to show NFL teams this week?
Denzel Mims: I wanted to show that I am competitive. I am tough. I wanted to show that I can run routes. I can be an all-around receiver.
Alex Khvatov: How did you wind up at Baylor?
Denzel Mims: I had an older cousin who went to Baylor, his name is David Mims. It was also closer to home. Growing up, I liked Baylor. I stuck to it until I got the offer. I committed.
Alex Khvatov: What did your head coach Matt Rhule bring to the Baylor program?
Denzel Mims: They brought everything to the program. They brought love there. They turned us into pros. They made sure that it was a brotherhood and that we all stuck together through thick and thin. I got a lot of respect for coach Rhule. I got a lot of respect for the whole staff.
Alex Khvatov: What is the biggest attribute that you bring to the field?
Denzel Mims: I am going to compete each and every day. I am going to be tough. I will do my assignments, so we can win. I will put my team in the best situation to win.
Alex Khvatov: Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?
Denzel Mims: At EXOS in Frisco, Texas.
Alex Khvatov: Who was the toughest corner to face in practice throughout this Senior Bowl week?
Denzel Mims: They are all tough. But if I had to say someone, Lamar Jackson from Nebraska. He is tall and lengthy. He is just like me, but he is at DB. He is pretty good.
