Ed Hunt:  When is your Pro Day?

Khane Pass:  It’s March 26.

Ed Hunt:  Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?

Khane Pass:  Right now, I’m training in Dallas, Texas.

Ed Hunt:  Tell me about your training.

Khane Pass:  It’s been a little different.  I’ve been doing a little feet drills, combine drills and working in the pool.

Ed Hunt:  What schools were interested in you out of high school?

Khane Pass:  I had a few offers: North Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Purdue.  A lot of the ACC.  I had about 10-15 offers.

Ed Hunt:  What made you pick Louisville out of high school?

Khane Pass:  I felt like it was the best fit for me.  It felt like it was the place I needed to be.

Ed Hunt:  Are you more of a free safety or an in-the-box safety?

Khane Pass:  I feel like I play both.  I probably would be most successful playing in the box.  I can also play the nickelback.

Ed Hunt:  What is your biggest sport outside of football?

Khane Pass:  I like basketball a lot.  I used to be a good basketball player coming out.

Ed Hunt:  What is your biggest accomplishment in that sport?

Khane Pass:  Probably playing in the AAU state tournament and then I played in a national tournament.

Ed Hunt:  What are your strengths?

Khane Pass: I am smart and I got great instincts with decent cover skills.

Ed Hunt:  What are your weaknesses?

Khane Pass:  My coverage can improve a bit, but I wouldn’t say it’s a weakness.

Ed Hunt:  What was the highlight of your career?

Khane Pass:  I would probably say this year’s bowl game.  I had a scoop and a score versus Mississippi State.

Ed Hunt:  What is your biggest accomplishment in college?

Khane Pass:  This year, I made all-ACC academic team and I was most outstanding defensive player on the team.  I was the second leading tackler on the team.

Ed Hunt:  What have you learned the most from your coaching staff?

Khane Pass:  I learned that success on the field starts with the little things off the field like studying your playbook and going to class.

Ed Hunt:  What is your favorite NFL team?

Khane Pass:  I really don’t have a favorite team, but I like the Falcons being from Georgia.

Ed Hunt:  Who is an NFL player you model your game after?

Khane Pass:  I watch a lot of Tyrann Mathieu and Jamal Adams.  I like those types of players.

Ed Hunt:  What is the most important trait for a safety?

Khane Pass:  I would say being able to cover a lot of ground and play in space.

Ed Hunt:  Before the ball is snapped, what tendencies are you looking for in the offense?

Khane Pass:  I would say formation, QB cues and things like that.  I look at formation and I try to think back to when I watched film.

Ed Hunt:  What players from your team should we keep an eye on for next year (underclassmen)?

Khane Pass:  Jawon Pass, Russ Yeast, Isaiah Hayes, Marlon Character, Dorian Etheridge, Dez Fitzpatrick and C.J. Avery.

Ed Hunt:  Who is the best player you have faced on an opposing team?

Khane Pass:  I probably have to say Derrius Guice from LSU, Josh Jacobs, Jerry Jeudy and Clemson has a lot of good players.  A lot of them are high caliber players.

Ed Hunt:  What do you enjoy most about football?

Khane Pass:  Humble, hard-working, dedicated, consistent and a playmaker.

Ed Hunt:  Why should an NFL team draft you?

Khane Pass:  I bring a lot to the program.  I am a smart dude.  I bring swagger.  I’m a team first player.  Leadership, energy and confidence are all things that I bring to a team.
