Best Day Two Picks - 2020 NFL Draft - NFL Draft Blitz

Best Day Two Picks – 2020 NFL Draft

2020 NFL Draft

DAY TWO

BEST PICKS

34th Overall Pick WR Michael Pittman Jr. (USC) – Indianapolis Colts

The Colts traded their first-round pick for DT DeForest Buckner.  This was the first time that they were officially on the clock during the draft weekend.  They needed to add more weapons for Rivers.  Pittman Jr. is a big, physical WR with outstanding hands.  He is a good route runner who tracks the ball well over his shoulder.

44th Overall Pick S Grant Delpit (LSU) – Cleveland Browns

He was projected as a top 10 pick coming into the season.  Lots of folks have soured on Delpit this past year because he was hit and miss as a tackler.  However, he is the best coverage safety in this draft.  Delpit is an instinctive playmaker who can be used all over the field.  He has the size, athleticism, speed, outstanding range and terrific ball skills.  He is also an underrated blitzer who can cover the slot.

45th Overall Pick S Antoine Winfield Jr. (Minnesota) – Tampa Bay Bucs

Winfield Jr. would have been a first-round pick if it wasn’t for the durability concerns.  He is a sure tackler with very good speed.  His ball skills, instincts and range are outstanding.  He also has NFL bloodlines.  His father played for the Bills and the Vikings.

55th Overall Pick RB J.K. Dobbins (Ohio State) – Baltimore Ravens

Ohio State RB J.K. Dobbins was the most complete RB prospect in this entire draft.  He is a physical runner with terrific balance.  He runs low to the ground and finishes his runs.  He is a patient RB with good vision.  He is excellent in pass protection.  He will remind people of Mark Ingram who is still on the Ravens roster.

71st Overall Pick DL Justin Madubuike (Texas A&M) – Baltimore Ravens

I was higher on Madubuike than most people.  He has very good strength and quickness.  He is a good run defender with long arms and terrific athleticism.  He plays with great pad level.  He shows the versatility to play different positions.  They will plug him in as a five-technique in Ravens defense.

98th Overall Pick LB Malik Harrison (Ohio State) – Baltimore Ravens

Another Ravens pick that I loved during day two.  Harrison presents better value at the end of the third round than Patrick Queen who was drafted at the end of the first round.  He has the size, speed and athleticism.  He is a good run defender.  He is an excellent fit as an ILB in a 3-4 scheme.

99th Overall Pick OT Matt Peart (UConn) – New York Giants

He was a four-year starter for the UConn Huskies.  I see Peart as a RT at the next level, but he can play guard as well.  He is a terrific run blocker.  He can get out to the second level and is effective on pulls and traps.  He has outstanding size and extremely long arms.  He sustains his blocks well.

105th Overall Pick TE Adam Trautman (Dayton) – New Orleans Saints

He was my No.1 TE in this draft class who was selected at the end of the third round.  He is a small school player from Dayton who put together a good week at the Senior Bowl.  He proved that he can standout against the bigger schools.  He is an all-around TE.  He is quick with good hands.  He excels as a red zone target.  He is also a good blocker.
