Christopher Reiss: What are your measurements?

Rob Luckett: 6’1, 320lbs. 

Christopher Reiss: During COVID-19, what have you been doing this offseason to prepare for the upcoming season?

Rob Luckett: I have been doing the basics as much as I can. My get off the ball is something that I have working on this offseason. I want to maintain a certain weight which is in the 310-320 area.

Christopher Reiss: When breaking down your film, what should stand out?

Rob Luckett: Unmatchable strength. I take pride in being an immovable object. I am very smooth with my footwork. 

Christopher Reiss: Coming out of high school, what schools show interest in you?

Rob Luckett: I had every JUCO school, but that was it. I am very glad I went that route.

Christopher Reiss: In high school, what other positions did you play besides defensive tackle?

Rob Luckett: I played left guard and left tackle as well.

Christopher Reiss: In high school, what other sports did you play besides football?

Rob Luckett: I played basketball and tennis.

Christopher Reiss: What are the expectations for Adams State for this upcoming season?

Rob Luckett: Our goal is to win the whole thing. Adams State is known for having an explosive offense, but this year our defense is going to be something special. The other teams in our conference need to watch out.

Christopher Reiss: Is there anyone on your team that we should keep our eye out for this season?

Rob Luckett: Alu Taito, Alani Pututau, Tyreik Campbell, and Tariq Bitson. 

Christopher Reiss: How would you describe your overall career?

Rob Luckett: I had a very underrated college career. I am not this 6’5 or 6’6, 325-pound beast. I had schools overlook me my whole career. This year is going to be my year. I have every opportunity in the world to be great.

Christopher Reiss: What is the highlight of your career?

Rob Luckett: Colorado School of Mines, it was a game where everything just slowed down for me. The game was just a whole lot better during that time.

Christopher Reiss: What are some strengths of your game?

Rob Luckett: My run stopping ability. My opponents will never run for 100 yards on the defense. My vision to find the ball carrier in the back field. Last one is being nimble on my feet.

Christopher Reiss: What are some assets of your game that you are trying to improve on?

Rob Luckett: I want to be the best pass rusher I can be. I want to work on my pass rushing ability. The NFL is now changing to a mobile QB and I have to change the way I work.

Christopher Reiss: What do you enjoy most about football?

Rob Luckett: I enjoy the mental side of things. I like mentally and physically beating my opponent and not getting in trouble for it.

Christopher Reiss: What are you majoring in?

Rob Luckett: I am soon to have my bachelor’s degree in communications, looking to also minor in business.

Christopher Reiss: What does life after football look like for you?

Rob Luckett: I want to be my own boss and to eventually own my own radio show and podcast after my football career.

Christopher Reiss: What or who motivates you?

Rob Luckett: Fueling the promise I made to my best friend Victoria Mota who left this earth some years ago. I promised to take care of my family and future generations, obtain my education, and never let anyone stop me. Wake up every day honoring that.

Christopher Reiss: Is there a player in the NFL that you look up to?

Rob Luckett: Akiem Hicks, Michael Pierce, and Chris Jones. 

Christopher Reiss: What is your favorite football team?

Rob Luckett: Las Vegas Raiders. 

Christopher Reiss: Who is your favorite football player of all-time?

Rob Luckett: Vince Wilfork. 

Christopher Reiss: What are some hobbies of yours?

Rob Luckett: Writing. I do a little bit of music and so much as have my own book. Coming to shelves soon. I enjoy playing video games as well.

Christopher Reiss: On game day, who is your go-to artist?

Rob Luckett: Kendrick Lamar – Never Catch Me and Ice Cube – Friday.
