Mason Sikes is a tight end from Western Illinois

Sikes is a 6’4 240 pound tight end from Lumberton, TX. Mason is a double transfer. He signed and enrolled at Lamar University in the 2016 signing class. As a freshman, he saw limited action on the field. In 2017, Sikes Played in 11 games. He caught three passes for 37 yards. The highlight of his The 2017 season was a catch for a season-high 13 yards against nationally-ranked Central Arkansas . Mason also had a reception for 12 yards against Southeastern Louisiana and McNeese. In 2018, Sikes played in nine games with four total starts. He brought in six passes for 221 yards and three touchdowns, the highest of his collegiate career. Mason’s best game of his sophomore campaign included two passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns in the victory at Central Arkansas. Mason also received two passes in the win over Sam Houston State along with a 44-yard touchdown vs. Nicholls. As a junior (2019), he matched his career-high with 221 receiving yards and 3 TD’s. As a senior, the 2020 (covid year) Sikes played in all 6 of their games with 5 starts and caught 6 passes for 46 yards. Finally, in his senior campaign, he competed in all eleven games making only three starts. Mason finished with 14 receptions for 155 yards and averaged 11.1 yards per catch. He had three straight games of 33 or more receiving yards showing consistency. Mason highlighted his career after a receiving touchdown during Western’s comeback win at Youngstown State (Sept. 25). Off the field, Mason Sikes has his degree in Exercise Science, and his dream job would be running a huge physical therapy center for athletes to train and become bigger, stronger and faster.
