Alex Khvatov: What are your measurements (height and weight)?
Ben Chappell: 6-3, 239.
Alex Khvatov: Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?
Ben Chappell:
Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, Michigan and Harvard.
Ben Chappell: Because of Coach Hoeppner and what was going on with the program and the Kelley School of Business.
Ben Chappell:
It was a season that production-wise was pretty good with the
yardage, but wins-wise wasn’t where we wanted it to be. We were
close in a lot of games against some really good competition,
but we’re looking to get over the hump this year.
Ben Chappell:
We want to win every game that we play.
Ben Chappell:
They’re all going to be tough. Whenever you’re in a league like
the Big Ten, every Saturday’s going to be tough. We are not
going to point out any game as a must-win game because we know
every Saturday is going to be a battle.
Ben Chappell:
Probably starting against Northwestern two years ago and getting
the win over a ranked team with a wounded offense and not the
greatest season, but we battled through and won the game.
Ben Chappell:
Probably my knowledge of defenses and our offense. I am able to
distribute the ball to the open guy.
Ben Chappell:
I need to continue to work on my fundamentals and to know that
every play is crucial to a win or a loss in a football game.”
Ben Chappell:
Probably just to lead by example. If you don’t walk the talk
then it’s not worth anything.
Ben Chappell:
Duwyce Wilson.
Ben Chappell:
Probably John Clay because of the nature of their offense, and
he’s a big boy.
Ben Chappell:
Brett Favre.
BC: Whatever team Brett Favre plays for and the Indianapolis
Colts.
Ben Chappell:
Food.
Ben Chappell:
Probably Brett Favre. I’d love to pick his brain and ask him
about his career.
Ben Chappell:
Video games, poker and school.
Ben Chappell:
My major is accounting, so I would like to do something with
that in business.
Ben Chappell:
A football player and a student. |
