Alex Khvatov:  When you were coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Dominick LeGrande:  I didn’t really get a lot of interest coming out of high school.  I was a two star recruit coming out of New York.  Boston College was my biggest offer.

Alex Khvatov:  Were you happy with the decision that you made by choosing Boston College?

Dominick LeGrande:  I felt like it was a great fit for me.  I got a great education over there.  I thought that it was a good fit for me.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your career with the Eagles.

Dominick LeGrande:  There were some ups and downs at Boston College.  I enjoyed my experience there.  I had a chance to play in the ACC.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you decide to transfer to Marshall for your last season?

Dominick LeGrande:  I decided to come to Marshall because I wanted to play with my teammate Okechukwu Okoroha.  We both transferred from Boston College.  I wanted to play my last year beside him.  He made me better this year, and I made him better this year.  We fed off each other.  We finished our last season at Marshall.  I thought that it was a perfect fit for us.

Alex Khvatov:  You led all safeties with 132 total tackles this year, what is the biggest reason for your breakout campaign?

Dominick LeGrande:  I really can’t tell you.  I was just out there doing my job.  I just learned to make every play that came my way.  God helped me this year.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Dominick LeGrande:  Coming to Marshall and meeting new people out there.  Guys took me in.  I am grateful that Marshall gave me an opportunity to play another year.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Dominick LeGrande:  I believe that I can cover.  I can hit and tackle.  I play well in space.  I think that I am a solid player.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game do you need to improve upon?

Dominick LeGrande:  There are always things that you need to work on.  I believe that I have a lot of work to do.  I just want to get better.

Alex Khvatov:  What separates you from all of the other players at your position?

Dominick LeGrande:  I think that I am a great tackler.  I am a sure tackler.  I love tackling.  I play well in space.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the best player that you have faced during your career?

Dominick LeGrande:  Hakeem Nicks.  I played against him when I was in Boston College.  I thought that he was a great player.  C.J. Spiller at Clemson was a great player.

Dominick LeGrande:  I am from New York, so I kind of like the Giants.  I just love watching football.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your teammate WR Aaron Dobson.

Dominick LeGrande:  He is a great player.  He is one of the hardest workers on the team.  He is a very polished receiver.  He works hard.  He is my teammate.  I watched him make some great plays.

Alex Khvatov:  Which underclassmen on your team should we keep an eye on in the future?

Dominick LeGrande:  There is so much talent there.  There is Kevin Grooms (RB), Steward Butler (RB), Rakeem Cato (QB) and Tommy Shuler (WR).

Alex Khvatov:  What do you enjoy the most about being a safety?

Dominick LeGrande:  You see the whole field.  You are the last line of defense.  I like being back there.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your definition of a leader?
