Chris
Horwedel: Your a Texas boy, what was it that took you to
Oklahoma?
Juaquin
Iglesias:
Well growing up I didn’t really pay attention to Texas or college
football for that matter so it didn’t take much to get me to come to
Oklahoma
Chris Horwedel: How did you're family and friends react to
you going to play for the hated Sooners?
Juaquin
Iglesias: My
family just was happy I was going somewhere they didn’t care where
but everyone else all acted the same and said the same thing we are
hoping you do well and all that but when you play Texas we are still
hoping you do well but not your team
Chris Horwedel: Is there a player you pattern the way you
play after?
-
Juaquin Iglesias:
I would pattern my game after Reggie Wayne just because I like his
play and the way he plays.
Chris Horwedel: Do you think that it's necessary for players
to have a certain amount of an ego in order to truly excel in the
game of football?
Juaquin Iglesias:
Yes I would agree with
this 110% because I try to have it when I play I truly believe if
you believe you are better than someone or believe
in what you can do you play better you cant second guess anything
Chris Horwedel: What's something that would surprise people
about Juaquin Iglesias?
-
Juaquin Iglesias:
I am a shy person if you
don’t know me I keep to myself I get really embrassed easily and
don’t like a lot of attention
Chris Horwedel: If you had to single out one guy on your team
for having stepped this year, who would it be and why?
-
Juaquin Iglesias:
The guy that really
stepped up this year to me would have to be Keenan Clayton because
we all knew how good Curtis Lofton was and how much he meant and
everyone knew Keenan had to make a lot of plays for us but he didn’t
shy away from it he stepped up and is playing great for us
Chris Horwedel: If you could add any one current college
football player to the Oklahoma roster today, who would it be and
why?
Juaquin Iglesias:
I would add anyone to
our team I like it the way it is but I do like a lot of other guys
out there so no disrespect to them but I don’t think we need anyone
else or anyone else would fit in with us
Chris Horwedel: How do you feel you stack up against the top
receivers in the country?
Juaquin
Iglesias: I
would say I stack up pretty well against the other receivers
although there are a lot of good ones out there I believe in me
that’s all that matters to me
Chris Horwedel: If you could pick a pro team to play for, who
would it be?
Juaquin
Iglesias: I
would play for The Dallas Cowboys hands down they are my team have
been since I could say football.
Chris Horwedel: What's more important to you in the beginning
of your NFL career: Being on a great team or being able to play
early on?
Juaquin
Iglesias: I
would have to say being on a great team because I hate losing and
also if you have a great team you have great players and I want
those type of players to teach me the game and what I don’t know
about the game.
Chris Horwedel: Let's say you're named the college football
commissioner tomorrow, what's the first rule you would change?
Juaquin Iglesias:
The BCS I would make it
a playoff system…..I don’t even know if he can do that but if he can
that’s what I would do
Chris Horwedel: What's your current height/weight/40?
Juaquin Iglesias:
6’1 210 and haven’t ran
a 40 in a long time but the last time I did 4.41
Chris Horwedel: What's the last movie you saw, cd you bought
and video game that you played?
Juaquin Iglesias:
Last movie I saw was SAW
V, Cd I bought was Crack by Z-ro and game I played was TUROK on
PS3
-
Chris Horwedel: What's the best advice you've been given?
Juaquin
Iglesias:
There is someone out there always working harder than you so try you
best to out work everyone else. – My Dad
