Alex Khvatov:  Describe your first day of practice here at the Senior Bowl.
Kareem Martin:  It was a good entry, but I definitely need to pick it up tomorrow.  I did some good things, but I also have some things to work on.
Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?
Kareem Martin:  I feel like I play the run and pass well.  Not many people can say that in this draft.  I can play the run like the big five-technique or rush the passer really well.  I plan to build on it tomorrow.
Alex Khvatov:  What are you trying to show scouts during this week?
Kareem Martin:  I want to show them that I am one of the better defensive ends in the country.  I am trying to improve my draft stock by coming in here and working hard every day.
Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career?
Kareem Martin:  This past year as a whole.  We were 1-5 to start the season, bounced back and won the bowl game.  I also had a great season individually.
Alex Khvatov:  Who was the toughest guy that you faced in practice today?
Kareem Martin:  Everyone was tough out here today.  It is tough competition here.  We are all fighting for a job.  Everybody is giving it their best.
Alex Khvatov:  Finish the sentence, Kareem Martin is….
Kareem Martin:  Off the field, I am a great guy.  I am a good character guy.  On the field, I know how to turn it on.  It is when the dog comes out of me.  I come out and fight every day.
