Alex Khvatov:
Tell me about your first day of practice here at
the Senior Bowl.
Nick Kasa:
It was great. I haven’t played in two months,
so I was excited to put the pads on. We all had
to knock a little rust off. It was fun.
Alex Khvatov:
What stood out for you during practice?
Nick Kasa:
Everyone is pretty good for not being on the
same page. The quarterbacks were throwing the
ball pretty well. Of course, there will be some
miscommunications. Everyone is really
competitive.
Alex Khvatov:
What have you learned from the coaches today?
Nick Kasa:
You have to treat every play like it’s your last
play. You just have to compete because everyone
is watching.
Alex Khvatov:
What are your strengths?
Nick Kasa:
I run block well. I blocked really well today.
I need to improve my route running and catching
the ball.
Alex Khvatov:
Describe your career at Colorado.
Nick Kasa:
All of the seasons were pretty tough, but my
senior year was especially a tough one. No one
wants to go 1-11. It was pretty disappointing.
But it made me excited to get out here and show
what I can do. I was pretty under the radar. I
still had a great time in college. It was still
fun.
Alex Khvatov:
Finish the sentence, Nick Kasa is….
Nick Kasa:
I am really competitive. I want to prove people
wrong when they say that I can’t do something.
People see me as a run blocking tight end. I am
pretty fast. But I really want to improve
people’s thoughts on how I can run routes and
catch the ball.
