Jeremiah Kolone

Offensive Guard – Senior

San Jose State

Alex Khvatov:  What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?

Jeremiah Kolone:  I’m 6’2 3/4. Right now, I am about 308, running my 40 in the 5.0 range.

Alex Khvatov:  Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?

Jeremiah Kolone:  I am training with the strength staff at San Jose State.

Alex Khvatov:  Tell me about your experience at the NFLPA Bowl all-star game.

Jeremiah Kolone:  The NFLPA is a great organization, and I was honored to be invited to their collegiate all-star game.  It is humbling to know that I was accepted as a top player in my position for this game.   My body was not 100% after the season and felt it was not ready for a full-contact football game.  So after talking with my family, agent and trainer, I opted not to play and focus on being 100% ready for my pro day.

Alex Khvatov:  What can we expect from you at the Pro Day?

Jeremiah Kolone:  What you can expect from me at the pro day is to be 100 percent healthy.  I plan on being my fastest, strongest and most explosive that I’ve ever been.

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Jeremiah Kolone:  I had a lot of interest coming out of high school.  I had a lot of the Pac-12 schools and Mountain West schools looking at me as well as a couple of division II schools.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you choose San Jose State?

Jeremiah Kolone:  I chose San Jose State because of the camaraderie with the players.  Great group of veterans and young guys.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall career.

Jeremiah Kolone:  My overall career, I was hit with a lot of adversity.  During my time at San Jose State, I’ve had 4 o-line coaches that I’ve played for.  Each of them bringing in different coaching styles that I’ve adapted to.  I’ve played in a lot of games (40).  I’ve had a lot of fun playing for San Jose State and I will miss it.  Ready for the next chapter in my life.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Jeremiah Kolone:  Some of my strengths are football IQ and my technique.  I’m a good run blocker and I explode through contact.  I’m also good out in space on screens.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Jeremiah Kolone:  Something I’m working on is my pass blocking.  Punching and keeping my head out.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Jeremiah Kolone:  Winning the Cure bowl in 2016.
