Alex Khvatov:  What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?

Jeremy Taylor:  I am 5’11, 197 and my projected time is between a 4.4 – 4.5.

Alex Khvatov:  Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?

Jeremy Taylor:  I am training at Black Dog Athletics in Greensboro, North Carolina.  I am working on my bench press and speed there.  I am also working out at Fitness Zone gym with Will Powell.  I am doing lifting, endurance and conditioning.

Alex Khvatov:  When is your Pro Day and what can we expect from you on that day?

Jeremy Taylor:  It is either on April 2nd or April 9th at North Carolina A&T.  I plan to do well.  I came from a bowl all-star game on January 14th.  I was still in shape from the season.  I started training.  I am hoping to get my numbers down and gain more weight.  I was 187 pounds when the season ended.  I gained 10 pounds already.

Alex Khvatov:  Tell us about the all-star game that you participated in.

Jeremy Taylor:  It was HBCU Spirit of America Bowl.  It took place on January 14th in Salem, Virginia.  It went well.  I started the game and I at Sam LB and safety.  I finished the game with eight tackles, one sack, one INT, one QB hurry and one pass break up.

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Jeremy Taylor:  I wasn’t really scouted at all.  North Carolina A&T was looking at my high school teammate WR Denzel Keyes.  I sent my tape to them.  They offered a preferred walk-on position.  I earned the scholarship my junior year.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall career.

Jeremy Taylor:  I earned the scholarship as a junior.  I came out and started as a LB that year.  I had 10+ tackles in three straight games.  I had 17 tackles, two sacks, an INT, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and three pass breakups against Kent State.  That was my best game.  I led the team in tackles.  I finished with four INT’s.  I led the team in tackles again as a senior.  I played rover my last year.  I made the All-Conference team my junior and senior years.  I was named to BOXTOROW All-America team my senior year.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Jeremy Taylor:  I have natural instincts.  I am a ball hawk.  I read the defense well.  I am very versatile.  I will come down in the box and I know how to cover.  I can play nickel or rover.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Jeremy Taylor:  Gaining weight and working on speed.  I have to get my feet a lot quicker.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Jeremy Taylor:  We are a senior class that accomplished the most wins in school history.  As a program, we also had the most wins in the conference during a four-year stretch.  We won 40 games.

Jeremy Taylor:  I have no favorite team.  I just like to watch football.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your favorite NFL player?

Jeremy Taylor:  Kam Chancellor.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the most important trait for a safety?

Jeremy Taylor:  In the run game, you have to come downhill and hit.  I can do that.  In the passing game, you have to be able to cover and open up those hips and feet.

Alex Khvatov:  What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?

Jeremy Taylor:  QB Lamar Raynard was named MEAC offensive player of the year.  RB Marquell Cartwright and WR Elijah Bell.
