D’Montre Wade Interview

D’Montre Wade

Cornerback – Senior

Murray State

Alex Khvatov:  What is it like getting an invitation to the Senior Bowl?

D’Montre Wade:  It is a blessing to be in the same category as the other players who are here.  It is a great opportunity to compete and connect with the players here.  It is a great opportunity to get to the next level.  It is part of the process.

Alex Khvatov:  How did you wind up at Murray State?

D’Montre Wade:  I was a RB coming out of high school.  I was underrated.  I wanted to go to Mississippi State.  I waited for them.  I never got the offer.  I took a visit to Murray State.  I enjoyed it.  They offered me as an athlete.  They moved me to corner.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you want to show NFL teams this week?

D’Montre Wade:  I am a physical corner.  I can play bump and run.  I can compete with any receiver out here.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths on the field?

D’Montre Wade:  I have good ball skills.  My athletic ability.  I always compete.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

D’Montre Wade:  Technique stuff.  Developing better as a corner.

Alex Khvatov:  Who was the toughest WR that you have played against?

D’Montre Wade:  Corey Davis from Western Michigan.  He is with the Titans right now.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall career at Murray State.

D’Montre Wade:  I got First Team All-OVC my senior year.  I was First Team FCS All-American.  As a team, we went 3-8 this year.  I formed a brotherhood with my teammates and the love for my coaches.

Alex Khvatov:  Finish the sentence, D’Montre Wade is….
