Alex Cappa Interview

Alex Cappa

Offensive Tackle – Senior

Humboldt State

Alex Khvatov:  Tell us about this experience at the Senior Bowl.

Alex Cappa:  At the start of my senior year, I was hoping that I would be here. Everybody wants to be here.  It is the best place to compete and showcase what you are able to do.

Alex Khvatov:  How did you wind up at Humboldt State?

Alex Cappa:  I am a California guy.  I was undersized coming out of high school.  I played OL and TE in high school.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths on the field?

Alex Cappa:  Definitely my ability to finish.  I love to compete and play physical.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Alex Cappa:  Just being more consistent.  Technique is everything.

Alex Khvatov:  You are from a small school.  What is it like being a small fish in a large pond?

Alex Cappa:  We are all in the same playing field.  It is a reason why we are all here.  We are all good players.  I guess that I still have something to prove coming from a D-II school.

Alex Khvatov:  Tell us about your career.

Alex Cappa:  We didn’t accomplish everything we wanted.  We won one conference championship and advanced to the playoffs.  We definitely wanted to win more.  As an individual, I had a great time playing up there.  I love to compete and play.

Alex Khvatov:  Who was the toughest player that you have played against?

Alex Cappa:  A couple of years ago, I played against DL Collin Bevins from NW Missouri State in the playoffs.  He was a good player.

Alex Khvatov:  Finish the sentence, Alex Cappa is….

Alex Cappa:  Competitive.
