Alex Khvatov: Tell us about the first day of practice here at the Senior Bowl.
Jalyn Holmes: It was good. We were intense. The DL did good. We focused on technique today.
Alex Khvatov: You felt the energy here from the defensive coaching staff on the first day. Is there a big difference between Ohio State and NFL coaching?
Jalyn Holmes: No, it is pretty much the same. The coaches at Ohio State have been in the NFL.
Alex Khvatov: What did you learn the most from Urban Meyer and the rest of the Ohio State coaching staff?
Jalyn Holmes: Practice the fundamentals and focus on the little things. Little things turn into big things.
Alex Khvatov: Give me a quick scouting report on your teammate DL Tyquan Lewis.
Jalyn Holmes: He is powerful. He is quick off the ball. He is a student of the game.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths on the field?
Jalyn Holmes: Quick off the ball, good pass rusher, powerful and a student of the game.
Alex Khvatov: Who was the toughest player that you have played against?
Jalyn Holmes: My own teammate Billy Price. He is so strong. He is smart. He is the center who is the smartest player on the offense. He helped JT a lot. He has great fundamentals.
Alex Khvatov: What was the highlight for you at Ohio State?
Jalyn Holmes: Coming back against Penn State. We rallied together and we came back to win that game. It felt great. We stuck to the game plan.
