Alex Khvatov:  Where were you training for the NFL Draft?

Quay Mann:  I have been training with Jed Hartigan at Velocity Sports in Charlotte, NC.

Alex Khvatov:  Were you satisfied with your overall Pro Day results?

Quay Mann:  I think I had a decent day, but I could have done better in some areas!

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Quay Mann:  Duke and Virginia Tech were the main two.  I had a few other FBS schools and a lot of D-I AA programs.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you choose Duke?

Quay Mann:  I knew that it will be a place that could make me a better person on and off the field.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall career.

Quay Mann:  I started out playing defensive back.  Later in my career, I ended up working myself into the two deep on defense and had to switch to running back due to injury at the position.  My coaches and I thought that it would be better for me to stay on offense even though some player came back sooner than expected.  I ended up working my way up the depth chart at the RB position and finished my college career playing it.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Quay Mann:  My feet.  I take pride in having quick feet.  This allows me to excel in pass pro, route running and the ability to make the cuts I need when finding holes.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve on?

Quay Mann:  I try to focus on improving all areas of my game.  Even the areas I consider strengths.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your favorite NFL team?

Quay Mann:  I grew up a Cowboys fan.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your favorite NFL player?

Quay Mann:  Todd Gurley.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the most important trait for a RB?

Quay Mann:  Eyes and feet coordination.  The ability to see something and have your feet react quickly will help you out a lot at the position.

Alex Khvatov:  What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?

Quay Mann:  There is a lot of talent left on that team.  Turn on the tape and they will show you themselves.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the best player that you have faced during your

career?

Quay Mann:  It is hard to name just one, because playing in the ACC provides many opportunities to play against some of the best players in this country.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you enjoy most about football?

Quay Mann:  I have been playing this game since I was eight.  It has provided me with some life lessons and opportunities.  I love what it can teach you about being a stronger person mentally and the ability to compete in life.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your hobbies?

Quay Mann:  Video games and bowling.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?

Quay Mann:  I enjoy my life now and I plan on doing the same even once I hang up my cleats.

Alex Khvatov:  Finish the sentence, Quay Mann is….

Quay Mann:  A fierce competitor that has a passion for this game!  Once I set my mind towards a goal, I will do whatever it takes to successfully complete it.
