OT Noah Beh (Delaware) Interview

Noah Beh – Offensive Tackle – Delaware

Alex Khvatov:  What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?

Noah Beh:  6’5 ½, 295+ lbs. and approximately 5.1 40.

Alex Khvatov:  Where will you be training for the NFL Draft?

Noah Beh:  Training at Conway Clinic and maybe another place.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall experience at the FCS Bowl all-star game in Daytona Beach, FL.

Noah Beh:  It is always good to get more film and be able to showcase my skills in front of scouts and create relationships and contacts.  I met a lot of great people and learned a lot of information about the process moving forward.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the biggest thing that you will take away from that weekend?

Noah Beh:  It was a great opportunity that I took advantage of to compete against good players.  The biggest takeaway is that you need to come ready every play and be prepared to compete against all types of players and adapt to playing with new players.

Alex Khvatov:  Who was the best player that you have faced at the FCS Bowl?

Noah Beh:  Best player at FCS Bowl was DE from North Alabama #55 (Jaylin Dailey).

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Noah Beh:  Penn State, Boston College, Syracuse, Temple, Pitt and a handful of others.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you choose Penn State?

Noah Beh:  I chose Penn State for a football program with excellent tradition, pride, close to home and culture.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you decide to transfer to Delaware?

Noah Beh:  I left Penn State and transferred to Delaware looking for a new opportunity to continue my academic and football career.  My roommate from Penn State, Troy Reeder, who transferred to Delaware the year before me was a great influence and helped me with the process.  Delaware just hired a new coaching staff when I was transferring, and I was really impressed with them and was excited about becoming a big part in the new culture and journey.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Noah Beh:  I believe I play fast, alert and aggressive.  I think I have good hands and feet and I am continually improving as an offensive lineman.  I am a competitor, leader and a great teammate.  I am passionate about football, offensive line play, being a student of the game, taking very detailed notes and working with my teammates.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Noah Beh:  I want to develop my upper body strength and increase my hip drive and explosion to become a more efficient blocker and a more violent player to continue finishing plays.  Also, always working to become a smarter football player and a more productive offensive lineman.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall career to us.

Noah Beh:  I came into college as an undersized, underdeveloped offensive lineman at about 255lbs.  I have worked to get my weight up every season and fell in love with improving as a lineman and learning how my position fits into the whole offense.  My last two seasons that I started, I believe I really expanded my vision as a football player and made huge strides of improvement as an offensive lineman.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your biggest accomplishment that you are most proud of?

Noah Beh:  Earning All-CAA honors and Deans List.

Alex Khvatov:  What have you learned the most from your coaching staff?

Noah Beh:  Champions don’t pick and choose when they want to be great, it is a habit and an all the time thing.  Leave nothing to chance and expand your vision and learn as much as you can about football and your position so you can react on the field, not think.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your favorite NFL player?

Noah Beh:  Lane Johnson.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the most important trait for an OL?

Noah Beh:  Intelligence, need to be a smart football player.  Of course, size and strength.

Alex Khvatov:  Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that

you are looking for from the defense?

Noah Beh:  DL stance/ alignment, LB depth and proximity, safety rotation (hash marks) and cornerbacks getting antsy.  Very important to know the situation, down and distance, personnel (what type of DL I am going against).

Alex Khvatov:  What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next

season?

Noah Beh:  Colby Reeder, Dejoun Lee, Pat Kehoe, Caleb Ashworth, Gene Coleman, Kedrick Whitehead, Connor Lutz, Chuka Ezeuzoh and David Kroll.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the toughest player that you have faced on an

opposing team?

Noah Beh:  2017 Virginia Tech Tim Settle.  He is now with the Redskins.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you enjoy most about football?

Noah Beh:  I love the game of football because it is such a competitor’s game.  I love playing the best position in the best sport.  You need to be smart, athletic, able to react during a play, intense and focused, physically and mentally tough to come ready every day, practice, game and rep especially when you aren’t feeling 100%.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your biggest role model and why?

Noah Beh:  My biggest role model is AJ Rizzo.  He was a teacher at my high school while studying to become a Jesuit priest.  I learned so much from him about all aspects of life and I can always go to him for advice and help with any problems.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your definition of a leader?

Noah Beh:  Someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about their job/position and helps others grow and exceed their potential because it is the right thing to do and to help the team.

Noah Beh:  Cars, welding, working with animals on the farm, music and working out.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you want to do with your life after your football

career is over?
