Alex Khvatov:  What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?

 

Diondre Wallace:  Height: 6’0”, weight: 230lbs and forty-time: 4.68. 


Alex Khvatov:  Where will you be training for the NFL Draft?

 

Diondre Wallace:  TGX Performance in Catonsville, Maryland.

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

 

Diondre Wallace:  University of Pittsburgh, Towson University, Stony Brook University, University of New Hampshire and University of Toledo.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you choose Towson?

 

Diondre Wallace:  I chose Towson University due to feeling of family on and off of the field.  Towson is very close to home, and it was great to be able to have family so close for support.  While touring the University, it was clear they had a championship mindset, and I wanted to be a part of that.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

 

Diondre Wallace:  My strengths on the field include my instincts in running sideline-to-sideline and being able to find and get to the ball.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

 

Diondre Wallace:  One area I am working on improving is getting better in the pass game in relation to identifying routes through my pass progression.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall career.

 

Diondre Wallace:  When I first came to Towson University, my career started off slow until week 4 of my freshman year when I got my first chance to start.  I have started every game since.  At the end of my collegiate career, I ranked 7th all-time in Towson University history for tackles.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

 

Diondre Wallace:  The highlight of my football career up to this point has been having the opportunity to be a role model in the community and giving back, by putting others first.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?

 

Diondre Wallace:  My biggest accomplishment in college has been serving as the vice president of the Towson University SAAC committee; where we discussed national SAAC matters, including NCAA legislation, national trends and topics that were addressed on the national level.

Alex Khvatov:  What have you learned the most from your coaching staff?

 

Diondre Wallace:  My coaching staff has taught me how to sacrifice for the greater good of the team and being able to give my all to the man next to me on the field.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your favorite NFL team?

 

Diondre Wallace:  Pittsburgh Steelers.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your favorite NFL player?

 

Diondre Wallace:  Bobby Wagner from the Seattle Seahawks.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the most important trait for a LB?

 

Diondre Wallace:  Leadership.

Alex Khvatov:  Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the offense?

 

Diondre Wallace:  Before the ball is snapped, I am looking for offensive personnel that is on the field and their positioning.  Where the offense is positioned on the field is important because it can affect where I align myself and where my run fits and pass progressions are.

Alex Khvatov:  What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?

 

Diondre Wallace:  Tom Flacco, Shane Simpson, Shane Leatherbury, Robert Heyward and Keon Paye.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the best player that you have faced on an opposing team?

 

Diondre Wallace:  Rodney Adams from the University of South Florida.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you enjoy most about football?

 

Diondre Wallace:  I enjoy being on a team that is big on locker room, being around the guys and enjoying their company.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your biggest role model and why?

 

Diondre Wallace:  My mother is the biggest influence on my life because she has sacrificed everything to ensure I could have a better life and to have the opportunities I have today.  Without her strength, I would not be the man I am today and be in the position in life I am today.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your definition of a leader?

 

Diondre Wallace:  A leader is someone who can inspire others in the direction of a common goal without misusing their power.  They are able to be strong and stand firm in decision making through leading by example and being active listeners.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your hobbies?

 

Diondre Wallace:  Playing the piano.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?

 

Diondre Wallace:  After my football career is over, I have goals of going into my degree field and potentially pursuing a career in the FBI.

Alex Khvatov:  What five words best describe you?

 

Diondre Wallace:  Trustworthy, humble, gracious, compassionate and ambitious.
