Alex Khvatov:  What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?

 

Elijah Bryant:  I’m 6’2, 310, 4.97 40.

 

Alex Khvatov:  Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Currently at my college SUNY Maritime here in New York.

 

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Syracuse, Penn State, Stony Brook & a few Division III programs.  I forgot the name because it was so long ago.

 

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you choose Monroe College?

 

Elijah Bryant:  I chose Monroe College because I had to finish out my degree.  I had credit problems at Globe Institute for Technology, which recently closed down.  I finished my junior college career at ASA College in Brooklyn.  Just went to Monroe to achieve my AA degree in accounting.

 

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you transfer to SUNY Maritime?

 

Elijah Bryant:  It was a better opportunity for me to showcase my abilities that God has blessed me with, and I really wanted to put my hometown on the map and putting everyone on notice that NYC kids can ball too.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

 

Elijah Bryant:  My strengths overall is my get off, my hand placement, leverage, quickness & power to be able to control the offensive lineman.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Everything.

 

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall career.

 

Elijah Bryant:  A true Rocky Balboa movie.  Been through hell.  But the strength God instilled in me kept me pushing forward through all trials and tribulations.  I will describe my career as being the underdog.  THE OVERLOOKED!

 

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Being able to get an invite to a Bowl Game in Virginia to play amongst the best Division 1 athletes in the FCS with NFL/CFL scouts in attendance.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What is your favorite NFL team?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Philadelphia Eagles.

 

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your favorite NFL player?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Aaron Donald.  He is the best player in the NFL.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What is the most important trait for a DL?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Relentless effort and physicality.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What players on your team should we keep an eye on next season?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Jabari Corsefield, Liam Bailey, & Dennis Haley.  All defensive players.  Extremely hard workers and dogs.

 

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the best player that you have faced on an opposing team?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Moses Harris From Castleton University.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What do you enjoy most about football?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Being in the trenches.  I love a physical game that’s won at the line of scrimmage.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What is your definition of a leader?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Leading by your actions.  People can speak words.  But your actions in the weight room, film room, football field & class room speak louder.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What are your hobbies?

 

Elijah Bryant:  I really enjoy going to major boxing events here in NYC.  A huge boxing fan.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Become a football recruiter at a top college.  Give those who were overlooked like I was a chance to not only come in and play football, but to also get an education and change not only their lives, but their families as well.

 

Alex Khvatov:  What five words best describe you?

 

Elijah Bryant:  Caring, hardworking, family-oriented, smart and genuine.
