DL Isaiah Buggs (Alabama) Senior Bowl Interview

Isaiah Buggs
Defensive Lineman

Alabama

Ed Hunt:  How did it feel out there during the Senior Bowl practices?

Isaiah Buggs:  It felt good.  Each and every day, we got better.  I got better.  I put a lot of good stuff on film.  Every day, I came out here with just one goal and that is to get better.  Each time I step on the field just to get better.  Work on my craft whether its run, pass and just get better.

Ed Hunt:  What’s your best fit?  In a 3-4 or in a 4-3?

Isaiah Buggs: I can play it all.  Put me anywhere up front and I can play it all.  I played it all in college.  You know 3-4, 4-3, 3-tech, 1 technique, 5 technique just all around.

Ed Hunt:  Can you compare your experience playing at Alabama and the spotlight of the Senior Bowl?

Isaiah Buggs:  Just playing in a great program.  You know Nick Saban has a great program.  You know Alabama sets you up for the future to be really successful.  I just give it all to Alabama for giving me the opportunity to play at a great program like that.

Ed Hunt:  What would you say is the highlight of your career?

Isaiah Buggs:  Just every game.  Being at Alabama and being with my teammates and my brothers.  It’s not just one highlight, just being there for an awesome two years.  They really molded me to be a great person on the field and off the field.

Ed Hunt:  I love reading in the players tribune about how Nick Saban handled your loss to Clemson with such grace.  Can you describe how Nick Saban handled your National Championship loss?

Isaiah Buggs:  Well you know, things happen.  Every day, we got to use it as a lesson-tool to get better.  We lost, we got to move on. We got to get ready for the next season.  You got to look at all the mistakes you made in that game and use it as motivation for the next game.
