OG/C Michael Deiter (Wisconsin) Senior Bowl Interview - NFL Draft Blitz

OG/C Michael Deiter (Wisconsin) Senior Bowl Interview

Michael Deiter
OG/C

Wisconsin

Ed Hunt:  How did it feel to get out there during the Senior Bowl practice?

Michael Deiter:  It was good.  Definitely a little bit of rust.  Playing some really good competition.  It was all new, new plays, new verbiage.  It was honestly pretty smooth.  It’s football at the end of the day.  You are going to win.  You are going to lose.  It is all about how you battle back and keep fighting forward.

Ed Hunt:  How do shells compare to playing with full pads?

Michael Deiter:  We’re still wearing shoulder pads and helmets and stuff.  Honestly, the only thing that will happen is we will put in pads tomorrow (pointing to his lower half).   Pretty much the same, it’s still physical.  You just aren’t taking the guys to the ground.  But you are still playing physical.  It still feels like football, you just don’t have tight pants.

Ed Hunt:  Tomorrow is a big day for you obviously?

Michael Deiter:  Yep.

Ed Hunt:  How do you feel about going up against Senior Bowl quality guys?

Michael Deiter:  It’s intense.  It’s definitely a challenge.  There are really good, great players.  Obviously, show a little in the one on one’s. I’m going to win some, going to lose some, but that’s why we’re here.  To play the best of the best and just be consistent.  It’s a lot of fun.

Ed Hunt:  You played on such a good line at Wisconsin.  Do you worry about having to face better competition with less help on your side?

Michael Deiter:  Not really.  I have confidence that the guys I’m going to be playing with are good players.  No matter what you are always going to be playing really good competition, so that challenge is always going to be there.  I’m going to be confident that the guys around me will be good enough players.  Just as good, as the guys I had at Wisconsin.
