Ed Hunt: What are your measurements? (Height, weight and 40 time)
Bruce Anderson: I’m 6’0, 210 pounds and run a 4.48.
Ed Hunt: I noticed you are a blocker. Do you think you could play a little fullback situationally?
Bruce Anderson: Situationally, yes. It is something I could definitely do.
Ed Hunt: Describe your overall experience at the Senior Bowl.
Bruce Anderson: It was wonderful. I could compete with the best of the best and showcase my talents.
Ed Hunt: What is the biggest thing you can take away from the Senior Bowl?
Bruce Anderson: The biggest thing is just the competition level. It made me that much better I would say.
Ed Hunt: Who is the best player you have faced at the Senior Bowl?
Bruce Anderson: There were a bunch of good linebackers and d-lineman. I don’t know their names.
Ed Hunt: Coming out of high school, which schools showed interest in you?
Bruce Anderson: A bunch of different schools. It was Army, Navy and Air Force. I was also offered to be a preferred walk-on at USF and Duke.
Ed Hunt: What made you ultimately choose North Dakota State?
Bruce Anderson: Ultimately the tradition. The coaching staff showed me how to be successful. I was able to meet a bunch of great guys on my visit.
Ed Hunt: What are your strengths?
Bruce Anderson: Versatility. I can run inside and outside zone, play special teams, kickoff, kickoff return and pass protection.
Ed Hunt: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Bruce Anderson: Just technique stuff with pass protection and refining some small things to make me that much better.
Ed Hunt: Describe your overall career.
Bruce Anderson: I think it was very productive. It was game-changing. I played special teams. Explosive, dynamic and game-changing.
Ed Hunt: What is the highlight of your career at this point?
Bruce Anderson: Just being able to win three national championships and just be in a great program. It wasn’t defined by one single game.
Ed Hunt: I noticed you are a patient runner. How did you acquire this skill?
Bruce Anderson: That is something you develop through repetitions. I learned to develop it throughout the year. It started in high school.
Ed Hunt: What have you learned the most from your coaching staff?
Bruce Anderson: What it takes to be successful. How to be a better teammate, leader and football player.
Ed Hunt: Tell me about playing with Carson Wentz.
Bruce Anderson: I didn’t play much with Carson Wentz. It was something special. He was a game-changing player. He was a tremendous athlete.
Ed Hunt: Is there a role you have played on special teams thus far in your career?
Bruce Anderson: Kick returner and every position, but kicker on kickoffs. On punts, I played gunner and in tackle.
Ed Hunt: What is your favorite NFL team?
Bruce Anderson: I don’t have a favorite NFL team.
Ed Hunt: Who is your favorite NFL player?
Bruce Anderson: I have a bunch of different guys: Bo Jackson, Walter Payton, Todd Gurley and Alvin Kamara.
Ed Hunt: What’s the most important trait for a running back?
Bruce Anderson: I would have to say vision. You have to have that feel for where the hole is going to be.
Ed Hunt: Before the ball is snapped, what tendencies are you looking for in that defense?
Bruce Anderson: I look for safety rotation. I look at linebackers. If they are antsy then I look for the blitz. I look if there is a line of scrimmage blitzer. Are they a blitzer or are they rotated to a certain coverage?
Ed Hunt: What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?
Bruce Anderson: Adam Cofield, Trey Lance, Mike Tutsie, Joshua Hayes and Dom Davis.
Ed Hunt: What do you enjoy most about football?
Bruce Anderson: Just what it brings. It brings a lot of close friends and competition during close games.
Ed Hunt: Who is your biggest role model and why?
Bruce Anderson: I have two. My mother and father. Everything they sacrificed. Just leading by example. What I learned from them, I can bring to my adulthood.
Ed Hunt: What is your definition of a leader?
Bruce Anderson: Somebody that is doing the right thing in all phases of their life.
Ed Hunt: What do you want to do with your life after football?
Bruce Anderson: I want to own my own business. I have my major in psychology. I want to use my major in psychology to help people.
Ed Hunt: What five words best describe you?
Bruce Anderson: Hard-working, reliable, dynamic, explosive and versatile.
Ed Hunt: Who will win the Super Bowl next year?
Bruce Anderson: That’s an impossible question to answer. I have to wait until the first few games shake out.
Ed Hunt: Do you have any pre-draft visits scheduled with any teams?
Bruce Anderson: No, not yet.
