George Asafo-Adjei
Offensive Lineman
Kentucky
Ed Hunt: How did it feel out there at the Pro Day?
George Asafo-Adjei: It felt good. I was prepared. Coach A got us right. I just let it rip. I didn’t think too much about anything. I did what I do. I know I was pretty athletic, so this was my time to shine.
Ed Hunt: You put up 30 reps on the bench. Is that your best?
George Asafo-Adjei: That’s the best I’ve done, but I was honestly shooting for higher. But I went 30 reps. I would have been able to pop out more, but I was happy with the result.
Ed Hunt: What’s your best fit on the offensive line?
George Asafo-Adjei: Right tackle and right guard. I could play left tackle and left guard, but I’m comfortable at right.
Ed Hunt: What other positions are you able to play?
George Asafo-Adjei: Left guard, left tackle and I feel like I am athletic enough to play defensive tackle. Anything crazy like that.
Ed Hunt: What are your biggest strengths in your mind?
George Asafo-Adjei: My biggest strength is definitely mental toughness and physical strength. I’m a leader. I work hard, learn fast and I’m a huge faith guy. I believe in bringing a change to a team, bringing a winning mentality and a belief in all of my teammates.
Ed Hunt: What is one thing you are working on between now and the draft?
George Asafo-Adjei: Flexibility. I am going to definitely work on my speed, strength and football IQ stuff. Coach Schlarman has done a great job of teaching me, but you can never know too much. I’m going to definitely work on those things.
