Ed Hunt: What are your measurements? (Height, Weight and 40 time)
Donavan Hale: I’m 6’3, 218 pounds and I haven’t ran the 40 since my sophomore year, but I ran a 4.52.
Ed Hunt: Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?
Donavan Hale: Back at school in Bloomington.
Ed Hunt: Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?
Donavan Hale: Wisconsin, USF, Minnesota, Syracuse, Southeast Missouri and Indiana. I can’t think of them all off the top of my head. Florida before the coaching staff got fired.
Ed Hunt: Why did you choose Indiana?
Donavan Hale: I chose them because I had a good relationship with Coach Frey. I felt like it was a good fit.
Ed Hunt: What is your biggest sport outside of football?
Donavan Hale: Basketball for sure.
Ed Hunt: What is your biggest accomplishment in that sport?
Donavan Hale: I was nominated for the McDonalds All-American game.
Ed Hunt: What are your strengths?
Donavan Hale: My athleticism, my build and hands.
Ed Hunt: What are your weaknesses?
Donavan Hale: Right now, speed and quickness.
Ed Hunt: What was the highlight of your career?
Donavan Hale: I would say it was my junior year and we came back against Miami, FL. We had a bunch of people come, and I scored twice that game. My cousin Jonathan Crawford also had a pick six that game.
Ed Hunt: What is your biggest accomplishment in college?
Donavan Hale: Graduating to be honest.
Ed Hunt: What have you learned the most from your coaching staff?
Donavan Hale: I would say it takes a lot of hard work and the little things. The little things really do matter.
Ed Hunt: What is your favorite NFL team?
Donavan Hale: Tampa Bay Bucs.
Ed Hunt: Who is an NFL player you model your career off of?
Donavan Hale: Julio Jones.
Ed Hunt: What is the most important trait for a wide receiver?
Donavan Hale: Hands and route running.
Ed Hunt: Before the ball is snapped, what tendencies are you looking for in the defense?
Donavan Hale: Pretty much the DB and kind see how he’s playing me and then I take a peek at the safeties and see how they are going to rotate.
Ed Hunt: What players from your team should we keep an eye on?
Donavan Hale: Mike Penix, Jacolby Hewitt, Miles Marshall, Cam Jones, James Miller, Tiawan Mullen, Devon Mathews, and Ty Fryfogle.
Ed Hunt: Who is the best player you have faced on an opposing team?
Donavan Hale: Marshon Lattimore when he was at Ohio State, he was real good.
Ed Hunt: What do you enjoy most about football?
Donavan Hale: Just the fact that it’s a game and it’s just something I love to do.

Donavan Hale: My build, my athleticism and my ability to go get the football.

Donavan Hale: I like to play the game, and PS4 and that’s pretty much it.
Ed Hunt: What do you want to do with your life after your football career?
Donavan Hale: I want to look at real estate. I am looking at real estate now. I want to help kids in my community. Be like a mentor to them.

Donavan Hale: Outgoing, reliable, trustworthy, hard-working and accountable.
