Day Two Report - North Team (2020 Senior Bowl) - NFL Draft Blitz

Day Two Report – North Team (2020 Senior Bowl)

2020 Senior Bowl

Day Two Report (Wednesday Practice)

North Team

LB Joshua Uche (Michigan)

He was the biggest winner from the North team.  Uche was unstoppable.  He was always in the backfield.  He was quick off the ball and displayed a great inside move in the one on one’s.  He is versatile and showed the ability to drop back into coverage.  He is a jack of all trades.

WR Denzel Mims (Baylor)

Mims had a good day on Wednesday.  He displayed physicality, great leaping ability and good body control.  He was able to defeat press coverage by using his hands and quickness to get off the line.  He demonstrated the ability to track the ball over his shoulder and finish well at the catch point.  He has a tendency to double clutch some passes and that showed up during practice.

TE Adam Trautman (Dayton)

He was a big winner today.  Trautman displayed outstanding hands, ran precise routes and has good body control.  He made a couple of tough catches in traffic.  On film, he makes one-handed catches look routine.

CB Terrell Burgess (Utah)

He was the most consistent corner in the one on one’s.  He was physical with receivers at the line of scrimmage, showed fluid hips and a smooth backpedal.  He was able to break up a couple of passes.

RB Joshua Kelley (UCLA)

I have been impressed with him as a route runner.  He also displayed a great burst through the hole, good vision and soft hands.

CB Javaris Davis (Auburn)

His cousins are CB Vontae Davis and TE Vernon Davis who have played in the NFL.  Javaris was a late addition to the Senior Bowl roster.  He actually was invited to the East/West Shrine Bowl, but was sent home because he didn’t pass the concussion protocol.  He had a good practice today.  He was very smooth in drills.  He showed tremendous speed, quick feet and outstanding COD in the one on one’s.  In the scrimmage portion, he knocked the deep ball away from the receiver.

P Braden Mann (Texas A&M)

He has been the best punter in CFB.  He credits taekwondo for helping him with his kicking form.  He got great hangtime on his punts.

K Tyler Bass (Georgia Southern)

Bass made all of his field goal attempts during practice.  He showed a very strong leg by hitting a 60-yarder.
