Day Three Report - North Team (2020 Senior Bowl) - NFL Draft Blitz

Day Three Report – North Team (2020 Senior Bowl)

2020 Senior Bowl

Day Three Report (Thursday Practice)

North Team

WR Denzel Mims (Baylor)

It was another terrific day for the Baylor WR.  He was physical and was able to defeat press coverage with ease.  He ran good routes, displayed reliable hands, showed off a nice catching radius and high pointed the ball in the end zone on one particular catch for the TD.  He demonstrated impressive body control and excelled on fade routes and slants.

Antonio Gandy-Golden (Liberty)

He wasn’t too far behind Mims today.  He had a lot of success in the one on one’s in the red zone drill.  He has a great frame, showed his physicality and fought through contact to defeat press coverage.  He made a great catch tracking the ball over his shoulder and displayed terrific body control.

James Proche (SMU)

He showed his outstanding hands.  He made a couple of tough catches in traffic with the DB draped all over him.  Proche lined up in the slot and ran precise routes.  He was quick coming out of his breaks.

QB Jordan Love (Utah State)

He was the most consistent QB throughout the week for the North squad.  He looked comfortable throwing passes into tight windows in the red zone drill.  He showed very good arm strength and nice touch on his passes.  However, he missed one throw in the red zone and also threw an INT in the team scrimmage.  Love is a day two pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

CB Lamar Jackson (Nebraska)

He used his size and long arms to his advantage.  He was physical with WR’s today.  He had a couple of pass breakups during practice.  He was the most consistent corner on Thursday.

CB Javaris Davis (Auburn)

He showed great closing speed and came up with an INT during practice.

LB Malik Harrison (Ohio State)

He showed off his incredible athleticism and speed when he came up with a one-handed INT in the team scrimmage.  Jordan Love was the victim.  He also filled the gap well on a couple of run plays.
