Cassh Maluia
Linebacker / Wyoming
Ed Hunt: How did it feel out there? How do you feel you did in the drills?
Cassh Maluia: I definitely felt I did my best. All glory to god and hopefully I turned some heads today.
Ed Hunt: I noticed you had one where they misplaced the ball and then you came back and made a great catch, covering. Talk to me about mentality and how that’s important in these high-pressure situations?
Cassh Maluia: Just to have fun like you are playing in your backyard. Dropping the ball, I play on defense so…It touched my hands and I should have caught it.
Ed Hunt: Can you talk to me about Logan Wilson. Being in the same linebacker room with him. Tell me about what kind of guy he is.
Cassh Maluia: I came in the class after Logan Wilson. He told me to give it my all, all the time. Make a bad play and come back the next day and get your best play in. He taught me about short-term memory because I would always keep myself there. He taught me that.
Ed Hunt: What are your strengths?
Cassh Maluia: Just reacting to the play we haven’t seen.
Ed Hunt: Are you a big film junkie?
Cassh Maluia: Yeah, big film guy. Always. They just taught me to get in the meeting room and that’s the number one preparation for the week.
Ed Hunt: Did you play any other sports in high school competitively?
Cassh Maluia: I did. 110m high hurdles and that was it.
Ed Hunt: How does the track atmosphere compare to a pro day atmosphere?
Cassh Maluia: It’s a lot of eyes on you just like the football field. This is nothing different to me. Just going out there and doing the best you can.
Ed Hunt: Did you come in with a plan for what you wanted to show the scouts today?
Cassh Maluia: I really wanted to show them that I’ve got nothing on my plate and I’m hungry. I’m willing to go out there for my team for whichever team I go to, no matter what and just give it my all. Do the best I can.
