Jericho Flowers:  5’10 ¼, 183 and 4.43.

Alex Khvatov:  Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?

Jericho Flowers:  I am in Las Vegas at Phase 1 Sports Academy.

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Jericho Flowers:  I went to three high schools around Los Angeles area.  I had a great season as a senior.  My first offer was from Hawaii.  I talked to a few bigger schools, but no one pulled the trigger.  UNLV called and offered me.  I went on an official visit.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you choose UNLV?

Jericho Flowers:  On my visit, I loved the culture.  The coaching staff was trying to change the culture of the program.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Jericho Flowers:  I hate losing with a passion.  I have been playing the game since I was six years old.  I strive for greatness and I want to keep getting better.  I bring my scrappiness and athletic ability.  I tackle really well in the open field.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Jericho Flowers:  I have been getting stronger.  I need to become more physical in coverage.

Alex Khvatov:  How would you describe your overall career?

Jericho Flowers:  Individually, I developed really nice.  I started off at corner.  Then I got injured my redshirt freshman year and moved to WR because we were short at the position.  I started a few games at WR.  Next year, I went back to corner.  Junior season was smooth.  Senior year was my best season.  I was able to be myself and enjoy the game.  I have the knowledge for the game.  As I got older, I became the leader for the team.  I made second team all-MWC.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Jericho Flowers:  The amount of tackles that I ended up with.  I had about 170 tackles over my career.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?

Jericho Flowers:  My first TD against Wyoming.  I was playing as a WR at the time.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the most important trait for a CB?

Jericho Flowers:  You have to be fearless.  You can’t be nervous.  You have to be confident.  CB is the hardest position on the field.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your favorite NFL player?

Jericho Flowers:  Tyrann Mathieu.  He is a smaller DB.  I try to shape my game after him.  He is aggressive.  He is a feisty guy on the field.

Alex Khvatov:  Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the offense?

Jericho Flowers:  Looking at the formation, alignment and splits of the WR.  It is my pre-play process.

Alex Khvatov:  What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?

Jericho Flowers:  Keep an eye on QB Armani Rogers, RB Charles Williams and TE Giovanni Fauolo.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the best player that you have faced on an opposing team?

Jericho Flowers:  WR Amon-Ra St. Brown from USC.  He was active on every play.  He didn’t take any plays off.  He attacked you on every play.  It was great competition.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you enjoy most about football?

Jericho Flowers:  I love the energy that it brings.  I have been doing it all of my life.  I love the game.
