Darrius Stafford: 6’2, 193 and 4.36 (hand time).
Alex Khvatov: Why did you choose Tennessee Tech?
Darrius Stafford: I chose Tennessee Tech because the coaches show they genuinely care about you and making sure you graduate with a degree. It felt like a family.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
Darrius Stafford: My strengths I would say are being coachable, my speed and wanting to get better each and every day.
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Darrius Stafford: Areas of my game I want to improve on is route running. You can always run routes better on and learn new ways to run a certain route.
Alex Khvatov: Tell us about your overall career.
Darrius Stafford: I had a pretty good career. I was part of the team that helped to turn a football program around.
Alex Khvatov: What is the highlight of your career up to this point?
Darrius Stafford: Winning the amount of games we won this year. Coming into that season, no one wasn’t expecting us to achieve much and to shock the conference. I would say is the highlight of my career so far.
Alex Khvatov: What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?
Darrius Stafford: I was part of a group of seniors that left the football program heading in the right direction for the future.
Alex Khvatov: What was the biggest thing that you took away from your coaching staff?
Darrius Stafford: Each day, our coaches preached to get 1% better each practice, find one thing you did wrong yesterday at practice and learn from the mistakes and correct it today. Coach told me that to be the best, most prepared team comes on Saturday.
Alex Khvatov: What is the most important trait for a WR?
Darrius Stafford: Outside of catching, I would say being able to adjust your route on the fly based off the CB leverage and technique.
Alex Khvatov: What is your favorite NFL team?
Darrius Stafford: I watch every football team, but my favorite is the New England Patriots.
Alex Khvatov: Who is your favorite NFL player?
Darrius Stafford: I really don’t have a favorite player because I enjoy watching every WR or QB. But it would be between Anthony Miller, Julio Jones or Tom Brady.
Alex Khvatov: Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the defense?
Darrius Stafford: How they line up against me, what are they trying to protect and not give up.
Alex Khvatov: Who is the best player that you have faced on an opposing team?
Darrius Stafford: I would have to say the CB DJ Freeman from SEMO.
Alex Khvatov: What do you enjoy most about football?
Darrius Stafford: Being able to complete everyday with my teammates.
Alex Khvatov: What are your hobbies?
Darrius Stafford: I like to listen to music, play basketball, and hang out with friends.
Alex Khvatov: What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?
Darrius Stafford: One day, I want to be an entrepreneur. Something dealing with sports.
