Houston Texans

2-40 Ross Blacklock, DT, TCU

3-90 Jonathan Greenard, DE, Florida

4-126 Charlie Heck, T, North Carolina

4-141 John Reid, CB, Penn State

5-171 Isaiah Coulter, WR, Rhode Island

The Texans had a nice draft despite not having a lot of picks. They added Ross Blacklock to their defensive line and I think he will eventually win a job as a defensive end in their 3-4 although he could play nose tackle as well. Jonathan Greenard is a sneaky strong pass rusher who is a steal in the third-round. Charlie Heck is decent value for the fourth-round and we know they could still use help in that department. The Texans are going to compete for a playoff spot in 2020.

Grade B

Indianapolis Colts

2-34 Michael Pittman Jr., WR, USC

2-41 Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

3-85 Julian Blackmon, S, Utah

4-122 Jacob Eason, QB, Washington

5-149 Danny Pinter, G, Ball State

6-193 Robert Windsor, DT, Penn State

6-211 Isaiah Rodgers, CB, Massachusetts

6-212 Dezmon Patmon, WR, Washington State

6-213 Jordan Glasgow, LB, Michigan

The Colts didn’t have a first-round pick, but made two good picks in the second round. Michael Pittman could be a very good receiver in the league with 6’4 height. Jonathan Taylor is also probably the best ballcarrier in this draft. He will be the lead back for the Colts and the hope is that he won’t have fumbling issues because he could be an outstanding ballcarrier. I think the Colts missed on Julian Blackmon as his zone coverage was not good enough to handle the job in the NFL. Jacob Eason intrigues me as a fourth-rounder. He has the arm strength comparable to Josh Allen, but if you develop him behind Phillip Rivers and Jacoby Brissett than maybe he becomes a good quarterback. Robert Windsor is an interesting pick in the sixth-round as he showed some things as a hand fighter. Overall, the Colts had a decent draft.

Grade: B

Jacksonville Jaguars

1-9 CJ Henderson, CB, Florida

1-20 K’Lavon Chaisson, OLB, LSU

3-73 Davon Hamilton, DT, Ohio State

4-116 Ben Bartch, G, St. John’s (MN)

4-137 Josiah Scott, CB Michigan State

4-140 Shaquille Quarterman, LB, Miami

5-157 Daniel Thomas, S, Auburn

5-165 Collin Johnson, WR, Texas

6-189 Jake Luton, QB, Oregon State

6-206 Tyler Davis, TE, Georgia Tech

7-223 Chris Claybrooks, CB, Memphis

The Jaguars had a decent draft. They made a nice selection taking CJ Henderson to play corner for them after Jalen Ramsey was traded. He has a great combination of tape and good measurables with the speed to stay with most receivers. K’Lavon Chasson is a very good pass rusher and so he should take over as the other defensive end opposite Josh Allen. The Jaguars always seem to draft defense in the first-round. Davon Hamilton went to the Senior Bowl and performed okay. He was their third-round pick. Ben Bartch was a nice pick, but I disagree with most draftniks when I say he is more of a tackle than a guard. Collin Johnson is a receiver with good height who they got in the fifth-round.

Grade: B-

Tennessee Titans

1-29 Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia

2-61 Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU

3-93 Darrynton Evans, RB, Appalachian State

5-174 Larrell Murchison, DT, North Carolina State

7-224 Cole McDonald, QB, Hawaii

7-243 Chris Jackson, S, Marshall

The Titans had a good draft. They started well adding Isaiah Wilson from Georgia who is going to be a very good starting tackle in the NFL. He will probably be the Titans right tackle moving forward. Kristian Fulton was another good pick and was only available because he was suspended for a year for a drug test mishap that I think he learned from. Darrynton Evans was a sneaky good pick in the third-round. This is a running back who brings good speed and was available because he played at Appalachian State. Larrell Murchison was a defensive lineman who was at the Senior Bowl. Cole McDonald might be a guy the Titans can develop off of the practice squad.
